The lavish life of Vietnam's biggest drug lord
From the huge profits from drug production, Hieu lavishly bought supercars and villas for his girlfriend to spend freely.
After more than a year of tracking, the police have dismantled the largest drug production case ever in Vietnam led by Tran Ngoc Hieu (also known as Hoang Beo, 36 years old, from Dong Xuan ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi).
During the process of tracking and arresting, the police were shocked by the amount of assets and the way the boss Hieu and his lover spent like kings.

Escape from prison, drug production organization
According to police records, Hieu’s real name is Van Kinh Duong. He was previously imprisoned for drug possession. While serving a 6-year prison sentence in Thanh Hoa, Hieu escaped. Wanted nationwide, the escapee changed his identity, forged documents and changed his name to Tran Ngoc Hieu.
Having been involved in the white death trade and knowing the huge profits from the trade, Hieu tried to find a way to return to his old ways. Immersed in the criminal world, Hieu quickly learned that the trade through many levels was not only less profitable but also easier to get caught, so he tried to find ways to produce drugs.
Hieu sought help from his cousin Nguyen Duc Ky Nam, who had a degree in mechanical engineering and was knowledgeable about chemicals. A chain of ecstasy production and supply to the underground market was born.
Hieu assigned people to oversee and handle transactions from the raw material purchasing stage to the consumption stage without directly getting involved in his network. Hieu operated the network via social networks, remotely managed by a 24/7 camera surveillance system.

The line operated smoothly, occasionally the boss went to drug factories in Phu My Hung Villa Area, Nha Trang, Dong Nai to check the machines before putting them into production.
Drive a 25 billion supercar, spend money, hang out with hot girls
Hieu only collects money so he is usually quite free. From the huge profits, Hieu lives lavishly in villas and high-class residential areas.

Hieu often flew to the North to direct the drug distribution branch in Hanoi and on flights, Hieu only sat in the VIP cabin.
Owning a luxury car, Hieu hangs around the most luxurious entertainment areas in the center of Saigon. Every time he travels, Hieu drives a 25 billion VND supercar or a “normal” mid-range car worth more than 7 billion VND.
Although he has three luxury apartments in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, Hieu rents a villa in District 1 for hundreds of millions/month to live in.
Accompanying Hieu in the entertainment areas was Vu Hoang Anh Ngoc, 13 years younger than the drug lord, known as Miu in the drug trade. She lived in District 3, fell into the hands of the drug lord and became an assistant in the drug trafficking ring.
Ngoc lives in a VIP apartment at Parkson Hung Vuong building, District 5. Hieu also bought his girlfriend a Mercedes worth over 2 billion and she doesn't know what to do with it, other than spending the money on entertainment and delivering drugs to Hieu.
Ngoc often kept 10,000-15,000 pills of drugs in her residence for wholesale and retail. However, she was only one of three beautiful girls under the boss's command.

Hundreds of kilograms of drugs were discovered and seized. |
When breaking up this drug production gang, the police initially seized a total of about 500,000 crushed ecstasy pills, nearly 100 kg of ecstasy powder... total value of more than 200 billion VND, and more than 10 billion VND in cash.
Authorities also seized seven luxury cars from Hieu and his accomplices, including two supercars, three apartments in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang (worth about 15 billion VND), two hectares of rubber plantation land, and a lake used as a drug factory in Tra Co commune, Dong Nai.
Upon receiving the order to break up the case, the police deployed 200 police officers. Of which, Binh Thanh District Police mobilized 120 soldiers from 7 professional teams and police from 13 wards along with 14 Mitsubishi cars that Binh Thanh District People's Committee had previously provided to the police of 20 wards. On April 6, when Pham Bao Quan was preparing to transport goods to the warehouse at Phu My Hung Villa Area, District 7, he was caught red-handed by the police. At the same time, at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the reconnaissance team also arrested "boss" Hieu as soon as he got off the plane. At the same time, they also issued a search warrant at 13 locations including drug factories and houses of related subjects in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Nha Trang, and Hanoi to arrest the remaining subjects. By late at night on April 7, the arrest and search of the subjects were completed. |
