Former Pentagon official: NATO hasn't done enough to "terrify" Russia
Former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Director of the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security, Mr. Elbridge Colby, in an interview with German magazine Focus shared that Germany is behaving inappropriately towards NATO and should invest more resources to make Russia "terrified".
Germany is the richest country in Europe and needs to spend on defense and NATO allies, he said.

“Germany is very rich and can spend more on defense and allies,” said Mr. Colby.
In addition, Mr. Kolby said that NATO's main problems are now focused on its eastern flank, especially on Russia, and Germany can play a decisive role in the fight against Moscow.
“Germany could do more to instill fear in Russians,” said Mr. Kolby.
At the same time, the former Pentagon official said that the United States is embroiled in two conflicts at the same time - with Russia and China, so all of Europe should also do more to help in case of a "Russian invasion". In this regard, he warned that in the event of any conflict with Moscow, Germany and America's European allies in NATO could be forced to confront Russia without US help.
