Former Soviet President Calls Putin-Trump Dialogue a “Ray of Hope”
Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev commented on the phone call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

"I welcome this (resumption of dialogue). The talks lasted an hour, and that is what is important. I hope that the issue is not limited to words," - Sputnik quoted Mr. Gorbachev as saying.
"We lost the whole year of 2017, there was no dialogue. Now we have to catch up with the lost time. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope. I call on everyone to support this," the former Soviet President stressed.
Earlier, the Finnish President's office and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced their readiness to host a meeting between Putin and Trump on their territory.
