Two people have gone missing due to flooding in Thanh Chuong.
(Baonghean.vn) - Inspecting the flooding situation in Thanh Chuong district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested the district and communes to ensure special safety for people, especially the elderly and children.
On the morning of October 30, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue led a working delegation to inspect the flood situation in Thanh Chuong district.
Also attending were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Since noon on October 29, Thanh Chuong district has been experiencing continuous heavy rains, causing many communes in the district to be deeply flooded. During the night, Thanh Chuong district evacuated more than 800 flooded households in Thanh My, Thanh Khe, Vo Liet, Thanh Nho communes... to safety.

According to the report of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee, the flood has left 2 people missing and 2 injured. 2 missing people in Thanh An commune were swept away by floodwaters while riding their motorbikes home and have not been found yet. The 2 injured people are now in stable health.
