The test results of the APAX English Center teacher who had a fever after returning from Da Nang are available.
(Baonghean.vn) - The first test result showed that this female South African foreign language teacher was negative for Covid-19.
On the morning of August 6, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control announced that the test sample of the female teacher from South Africa had tested negative for Covid-19. The woman, whose sample was taken last night, had traveled to Da Nang and had symptoms of fever, sore throat, and difficulty breathing. She is currently being isolated and monitored at the Tropical Disease Center, Nghe An Provincial General Hospital.
According to the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Quang Trung Ward (Vinh City), this female teacher taught at APAX English Center. On July 20, she traveled from Vinh City to Da Nang City and stayed in Ngu Hanh Son District. On the morning of July 23, after taking a bus from Da Nang to Nghe An, this person stayed in an apartment at Bong Sen Apartment (Quang Trung Ward).
After that, the female teacher continued to teach at the APAX English Center in the Petroleum Building in Quang Trung Ward. According to the medical declaration from July 23 to 27, this female teacher participated in teaching 14 classes at the above English center. At around 7:00 p.m. on July 28, this person made a medical declaration at the Quang Trung Ward Health Station and was instructed to quarantine at home. At noon on August 5, the interpreter of this English center informed that the above female teacher had unusual symptoms.

On the same afternoon, the female teacher was taken to Quang Trung Ward Health Station for isolation and after examination, the following symptoms appeared: sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing, bleeding on the skin and a throat swab was taken for testing. Immediately after that, the female teacher was taken to Vinh City General Hospital and then transferred to Nghe An Provincial General Hospital for isolation and health monitoring.
Currently, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Quang Trung Ward has requested the English center with the female teacher to temporarily suspend all activities and spray disinfectant in all classrooms and offices. Review all cases that have had close contact with the female teacher and request home quarantine until the test results of this person are available. At the same time, review the stay and travel history of the South African teacher from July 23 to 28.
