To save the fish and bring it back to sea, at 7am, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district mobilized more than 100 people including militia, military of Dien Thinh commune and soldiers of Dien Thanh Border Post, and at the same time brought 2 excavators, opened a path to the sea, dug a large lake for the fish to have enough water and air. According to the experience of many fishermen, because this whale had come deep into the shore to feed, when the tide receded quickly, it did not have time to return to sea.

Due to the low tide, the area where the fish were stranded did not have enough water to cover the fish, so Dien Thinh commune had to mobilize 3 excavators to scoop up sand around and bring water in to rescue the fish.
Thousands of people are present at the beach to save the fish.
Nghe An Newspaper reporters at the scene said the whale's health was very poor, it was barely breathing, while thousands of people were helping the whale. 3 excavators were actively digging a trench to the sea; many other people surrounded the whale, continuously pouring water on its back and head. The rescue of the whale was extremely urgent. It is expected that around 12 noon today, the tide will rise and the whale will be rescued.
Currently, the whale is being slowly pushed out to sea by people, about 100 meters above sea level. According to the reporter's records, the large number of people gathered at sea is making it difficult to rescue the whale. Outside, a rescue ship is waiting to pull the whale out, but the sea water is too shallow to reach the stranded whale.
Two ships are approaching the fish to rescue it.
By 11:45 a.m., the authorities had managed to get the fish out of the trapped area. The rescue ship used ropes and human power to push the fish out to deeper waters. However, the fish was in poor health and barely breathing.
When the tide came in, the ship reached the whale and pulled it out to deep sea. The locals were delighted to have rescued the whale from the stranded area. The ship planned to take the whale about 3-4 nautical miles away and then release it back into the wild.
