- As of 6:00 p.m. on August 24: Vietnam has a total of 680 COVID-19 cases due to domestic infections, of which the number of new cases related to Da Nang from July 25 to present: 540 cases recorded.

- From 6am to 6pm on August 24: 6 new cases, including 0 imported cases that were quarantined immediately.

Information on new cases: 06 new cases (BN1017-1022) recorded in Da Nang (04) and Hai Duong (02).

- CASE 1017 (BN1017):Female, 68 years old, My An, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang, was a market goer and had her sample taken for screening on August 23, 2020 at Ha Than market, An Hai Tay ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang.

- CASE 1018 (BN1018):Male, 57 years old, Hai Chau 2, Hai Chau, Da Nang, is a medical staff at Da Nang Hospital.

- CASE 1019 (BN1019):Female, 37 years old, Hoa Khanh Bac, Lien Chieu, Da Nang, is a medical staff of Da Nang Hospital (reinforced for Da Nang Lung Hospital from August 6, 2020 to present, has been quarantined at the hotel since August 5, 2020).

- CASE 1020 (BN1020):Male, 26 years old, Hoa Khanh Bac, Hoa Vang, Da Nang, in contact with patient 996.

- CASE 1021 (BN1021):Male, 8 years old, Lien Hong, Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province, is the son of patient 1016.

- CASE 1022 (BN1022):Female, 63 years old, Lien Hong, Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province, is the biological mother and lives with her son, patient 1016.
