The evil husband's ambition to burn his wife's body in a barrel
After beating his 26-year-old wife to death with an iron rod, Vu bought 10 liters of gasoline and drove her body to his parents' house to burn it in an oven made from a barrel.
On May 11, Lam Dong Provincial Police examined the scene to investigate the case of Luong Hoang Vu (32 years old) killing his wife and burning her body to destroy evidence in Don Duong District. The suspect was also escorted to the crime scene.

The investigation lasted for several hours at Vu’s home and the suspect’s parents’ farm produce warehouse. Hundreds of people gathered outside to watch, causing a partial traffic jam on Highway 27. Police seized many important pieces of evidence, including the iron rod used in the crime and a homemade oven.
Don Duong District Police said that on the morning of May 10, the on-duty police received a report from the mother about the mysterious disappearance of her 26-year-old daughter. Her son-in-law took his two children away from home and could not be contacted. While the police were searching for her, Vu's brother contacted his sister and learned that his sister-in-law had been murdered and her body left in her parents' oven.

That same evening, while taking his child back to Lam Dong, Vu was arrested in Di Linh district. He admitted to the entire act of killing his wife and said he was on his way to surrender.
Vu confessed that on May 8, he went to play soccer with friends and got drunk until midnight, which led to an argument with his wife. He thought his wife had insulted his parents, so he attacked her. Later, the victim went down to the kitchen to drink water, and Vu used an iron rod to hit her hard in the back of the neck, causing her to die. The suspect dragged the body into the bathroom, wrapped it tightly in a raincoat and tarpaulin, and left it in the corner of the house.
The next day, Vu went to buy 10 liters of gasoline and then went to his parents' house 100 meters away and asked a hired worker to carry an oven made from half a barrel into the warehouse. In the afternoon, seeing heavy rain, he took his car to carry his wife's body from home and put it in the oven, covering it tightly.

Early in the morning of May 10, Vu woke up his two children, aged 4 and 6, to go swimming. When he passed his parents’ house, he poured gasoline and burned his wife’s body before driving to Binh Thuan.
