National Assembly Delegate: Requesting urgent handling of many issues of concern to voters
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 23, National Assembly delegates including Mr. Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department met with voters of Tho Son and Anh Son communes before the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly.
At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Huy reported the expected agenda of the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly to a large number of voters in Tho Son commune; at the same time, he requested that in a democratic and frank spirit, voters reflect many issues of concern to the delegates.

Voter Tran Duc Canh in Hamlet 5 reported that the treatment of pesticide residues was unfinished, the surrounding protective corrugated iron was partially damaged; the cultural house of Hamlet 5 in this area was demolished to serve the treatment, so people had no place to hold meetings and had to rely on local people's houses.
"I recommend that National Assembly deputies participate in proposing to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment a plan to urge the completion of pesticide residue treatment to ensure the environment and also to rebuild the village cultural house to serve community activities," said Mr. Canh.

Attending the conference, Mr. Tran Ngoc Dang - representative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that the projects to handle pesticide residues are funded by the central budget with 50% of the funding provided by the province and the remaining 50% is matched by the province. Currently, for the treatment project in Hamlet 5, Tho Son Commune, the central budget has been disbursed but the province's matching fund is still difficult so it has not been implemented yet.
At the site, the heavily polluted soil has been excavated and treated, leaving only the lightly polluted part. “We will advise and propose to the leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to prioritize investment in this location; at the same time, inform the provincial Department of Environment to reinforce the damaged protective roofing around it,” said Mr. Tran Ngoc Dang.

Regarding this issue, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau requested the Office of the National Assembly Deputies to synthesize opinions and send a written request to the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to prioritize the complete handling of the pesticide residue location in Hamlet 5, Tho Son Commune.
At the conference, many voters proposed solutions to upgrade and renovate the Thanh - Binh - Tho traffic route because it has degraded and is very difficult to travel.
Responding to this issue, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Pham Hong Quang attended the conference and said that this route was assigned to the district for management, but due to financial conditions, maintenance was difficult. The Department of Transport has consulted and coordinated with the district to call for projects using capital from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In the immediate future, the Department will work with the Road Maintenance Fund to arrange capital to repair severely damaged sections.
"We will try to allocate a portion of capital from the Road Maintenance Fund to repair the road in early 2017," said Mr. Quang, while also requesting that the district and commune have a plan for regular maintenance and combating overloaded vehicles.

Voter Nguyen Van Minh, Hamlet 8, Tho Son and many other voters said that in the commune, there are many families with revolutionary contributions who have borrowed money to repair their houses but have not received support according to Decision 22/2013. Voters raised the question, will the support for repairing and building new houses for these subjects still be implemented?
Ms. Nguyen Van Anh - representative of the Department of Meritorious People, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs attended the conference to answer voters, saying that the implementation of support according to Decision 22 is still continuing, but due to financial difficulties, it has not been able to support all subjects. Specifically, in Tho Son commune, there are 53 subjects but only 2 subjects have been supported.
Also at the conference, voters reflected on many issues related to providing health insurance for people in commune 135, the situation of gambling in the locality, granting multiple red books on one plot of land; the degraded electricity system does not ensure daily life; people accessing bank loans to develop agriculture still have difficulties in procedures; improving the efficiency of implementing investment projects and enhancing the supervisory role of the people because they are the beneficiaries...
