Party Congress of VietinBank Nghe An branch for the 2020-2025 term

On the morning of May 24, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Nghe An branch, held the 10th Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Attending were comrade Thai Khac Thu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee and leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch.

All operational targets were met and exceeded.

During the 2015 - 2020 term, VietinBank Nghe An branch has promoted the tradition of solidarity, responsibility, dynamism, and creativity to overcome difficulties, closely following plans, tasks, and market developments in the operating area to successfully complete assigned tasks.

All operational targets have met and exceeded the targets set by the Resolution of the 2015 - 2020 term Congress. Total mobilized capital at the end of the period reached 6,394 billion VND, an increase of 2,384 billion VND, equivalent to 59.5%, an average growth of 11.9%/year. Outstanding debt at the end of the period to the end of 2019 reached 8,221 billion VND, an increase of 5,538 billion VND, equivalent to 206.4%, an average growth of 41.3%/year.

In the 5 years from 2015 to 2019, the Branch generated 782 billion VND in profit (average 156.4 billion VND per year, exceeding the set target). Jobs, life and policies for staff and employees are always guaranteed. Leaders and direct the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace according to regulations, all wishes of staff and employees are satisfactorily resolved.

During the term, VietinBank Nghe An branch coordinated with the Trade Union of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade to contribute and support nearly 38 billion VND for social security work.

Organize to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Directives, Resolutions, and Regulations of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Party Committee of the Bloc on improving the quality of Party members. Focus on improving labor productivity

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of VietinBank Nghe An branch sets the goal of continuing to innovate methods and enhance the leadership role of the Party to improve labor productivity, promote safe and effective loan growth. Be proactive, creative, mobilize all resources to develop effective production and business, ensure the lives and policies for workers. Build a strong and clean Party Committee, strong and excellent mass organizations, develop the Branch to become a leading enterprise in the banking sector in Nghe An province.

SomeKey targets for the 2020-2025 period

Mobilized capital growth from 12-15%/year; Growth of outstanding loans to the economy 7-10%/year; Bad debt ratio/Total outstanding loans maintained below 1%; Service revenue: Increase 5-7%/year. Number of new customers each year increases: from 1,500 - 1,700 customers (of which institutional customers account for 8-10%; individual customers account for 82-90%). Profits with risk provisions set aside for the following year are higher than the previous year, with an increase rate of 8-10% each year.

Speaking at the congress, Thai Khac Thu, Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the VietinBank Nghe An branch Party Committee in the past term; at the same time, he hoped that in the next term, the Party Committee would continue to innovate its leadership methods to effectively carry out monetary and banking business tasks in an accelerated, efficient and sustainable manner.Focus on mobilizing all capital sources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the area.

It is especially necessary to raise awareness of cadres, party members, and employees about ethics, lifestyle, discipline, and corporate culture of VietinBank; Proactively invest in innovation and apply modern technology in the banking sector; Diversify service types to meet the increasing needs of customers and international integration requirements.

Regarding Party work, Comrade Thai Khac Thu, Secretary of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee, requested that the Branch continue to well implement the policies and guidelines of the Party, the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam on monetary and credit in each period.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, consisting of 9 comrades, and elected delegates to attend the 6th Congress of the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Business Bloc, term 2020 - 2025. Comrade Bui Xuan Dong - Director of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Nghe An branch, continued to be elected to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary for the 2020 - 2025 term.
