The first Congress of the Party Cell of Nghe An Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 25, the Party Cell of Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center held a congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Attending and directing the Congress was comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies.

The Party Cell of Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center currently has 24 official party members. The leadership team, cadres and party members have high professional expertise and political theory level.

The congress took place in the context of the recent merger of four centers into one, becoming the only focal point of the province operating professionally in the fields of investment promotion, trade, tourism and business development support.

Overcoming difficulties and challenges, in the past time, the Party Cell has led the Centers (before the merger) to carry out the political tasks of the agencies and units, especially improving the quality of consulting and proposing, promoting proactiveness, creativity, and a high sense of responsibility in work.

In particular, during the 2017 - 2020 term, the Party Cell directed, coordinated and advised the implementation of professional tasks such as: Advising the Provincial People's Committee to successfully organize and achieve many important results at the Spring Meeting with Investors in 2017, 2018, 2019 with a total investment of over 57,700 billion VND; Timely advising the Provincial People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems for large projects with widespread effects in the province; Directing, coordinating and advising the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to organize the Investment Promotion Conference in Nghe An province in 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City (September 20, 2019); Advising the Provincial People's Committee to work with corporations and investors coming to learn about investment in Nghe An province such as Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), FLC, T&T, TMS, VinGroup, SunGroup...

Thanks to that, investment attraction work has been increasingly in-depth and focused. Many projects have been implemented on a large scale, creating development momentum, shifting economic structure and contributing greatly to the province's budget revenue, such as: VSIP, WHA, Hoa Sen Group, The Vissai, Masan, Vingroup, Muong Thanh, FLC, T&T...

The Party Cell also leads administrative reform, improves working methods and procedures; reduces administrative procedures; promotes effective application of IT; creates conditions for cadres and Party members to participate in advanced training courses on skills in using electronic office software, foreign languages, etc.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies emphasized the important role and function of the Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center. He praised the performance of the centers before the merger, which contributed to the results of attracting investment and improving the Provincial Competitiveness Index PCI, developing tourism, developing enterprises, training entrepreneurs...

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 5 members, Comrade Bui Duy Dong, Director of the Center, was elected to hold the position of Party Cell Secretary. The Congress also elected 2 members to attend the congress at a higher level.
