Nghe An Radio and Television Station shares difficulties with Quy Chau students

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to promptly encourage and share the difficulties of Quy Chau district after the recent flood, on the morning of September 17, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Radio and Television Station visited and presented gifts to 3 schools including: Chau Hoan Kindergarten, Chau Hoan Primary School and Hoan Lam Secondary School.

During the recent flood, Chau Hoan Kindergarten, Chau Hoan Primary School and Hoan Lam Secondary School were submerged in water. After the water receded, classrooms, functional rooms, documents, learning equipment, books and materials of teachers and students were severely damaged, with estimated damage reaching hundreds of millions of dong.

Nghe An Radio and Television Station donated 40 million VND to 3 schools.

With the support of local authorities, from September 14 to 17, 3 schools were closed to mobilize teachers, parents, students, and militiamen of Chau Hoan commune to clean up mud, dry school supplies and books, and gradually stabilize operations.

On this occasion, Nghe An Radio and Television Station has called for support from kind-hearted people, donating 20 million VND to Chau Hoan Kindergarten; Chau Hoan Primary School and Hoan Lam Secondary School, each receiving 10 million VND to overcome the current difficulties. At the same time, 3 sets of television receivers were donated to 3 schools.

School supplies and teaching materials were damaged after the flood.

It is known that 3 schools located in Chau Hoan commune have 480 students, more than 60% of the students are from poor households and families with difficulties.

The gift from Nghe An Radio and Television Station will help and encourage schools and localities to stabilize their lives and teaching and learning activities after the flood./.
