According to the report of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, by March 11, 2016, the Provincial People's Committee had established 5 election committees for National Assembly deputies; 26 election committees for Provincial People's Council deputies; established 223 election committees for District People's Council deputies and 3,707 election committees for Commune People's Council deputies.

The process of introducing candidates and self-nomination for the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term took place democratically, objectively, and in accordance with the law. After the second consultation conference, Nghe An agreed to make a preliminary list of 30 candidates for the 14th National Assembly; 250 candidates for the Provincial People's Council; 1,719 candidates for the District People's Council and 26,509 candidates for the Commune and Ward People's Council to collect opinions from voters at their place of residence.

Up to this point, the organization of collecting opinions and trust from voters at the place of residence for candidates is being coordinated by the Fatherland Front at the commune and ward levels with the People's Committee at the same level and will end before April 12, 2016.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Ba Trinh - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front highly appreciated the leadership and direction of the province in preparing for the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

In order for the content and work of election preparation to continue to ensure quality, progress and compliance with the law, Nghe An province, especially the Fatherland Front Committee from the province to the grassroots level, needs to strengthen information and propaganda work; increase exchanges among election officials and people to understand their responsibilities, obligations and rights to participate responsibly in the election work.

Organize to monitor the collection of voters' opinions on candidates as a basis for holding the third consultative conference to select candidates who ensure standards, prestige and voters' trust.

Comrade Le Ba Trinh also noted that the third negotiation process to finalize the official list of candidates must ensure a guiding structure, a combined structure; the balance in each constituency according to regulations; and at the same time ensure equality and objectivity between the nominated candidates and self-nominated candidates.

At the same time, focus on resolving citizens' complaints and denunciations related to the election and candidates; coordinate with agencies to resolve all complaints before April 12. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring security, social order and safety before, during and after the election, so that election day is truly a festival for all people.
