Ensuring power supply in all situations

In 2017, despite many storms causing difficulties in the management and operation of the power grid, Nghe An Electricity Company promptly overcame the difficulties, fully meeting the electricity demand for socio-economic development and people's daily life in the whole province.

The Company has completed and exceeded the targets assigned by the Northern Power Corporation. In 2017, the Company's total commercial electricity output was 2,807.445 million kWh, up 17.9% compared to 2016; the electricity loss rate in 2017 decreased by 0.72% compared to 2016. Electricity revenue in 2017 was VND 4,529.17 billion, up 16.75%.

Regarding the 2018 plan, the Company continues to safely and stably operate the power system, ensuring electricity for socio-economic development; effectively implementing the 2018 theme of EVN "Improving the quality of human resources" and the theme of Nghe An Power Company "Innovation - Creativity - Efficiency"; striving to achieve and exceed 3,120 million kWh of commercial electricity.

At the conference, the leaders of Nghe An Power Company also recommended that the Northern Power Corporation speed up the progress of the 110 kV transformer stations of Tan Ky, Nghi An, Dien Phong and Nam Cam; allocate capital to renovate and upgrade the 10 kV lines with high losses; accelerate the progress and promptly put into operation the projects: JICA, Dep 2; arrange investment projects to renovate the rural low-voltage grid; soon supplement the cost to replace bamboo and wooden poles that do not ensure operation with concrete poles; increase the cost of renting rural electricity services so that workers are more attached and responsible for their work.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the contributions of the Electricity sector in the past year, meeting the development requirements of new investment projects in Nghe An province; serving well major events taking place in the province; promptly overcoming natural disasters, contributing to the completion of the province's socio-economic targets.

In the coming year, the Electricity sector will continue to promote its achievements, ensuring electricity supply in all situations; focusing on investing in repairing rural power grids; investing in developing power sources in key projects of the province.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also pledged to direct all levels and sectors to coordinate with the Electricity sector to successfully complete the work of ensuring the safety of the power grid corridor, upgrading the rural power grid and supplying electricity throughout the province, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks in 2018.
