All roads leading to Thach Ngan from inter-district, inter-commune and inter-village are dirt roads. When it is sunny, the dust is everywhere, causing environmental pollution. When it rains, the roads are muddy and slippery, causing difficulties in traveling and daily life for people in this area and neighboring areas. Photo: Tran Le |

Currently, the people of Thach Ngan commune are in the season of harvesting cassava and sugarcane, so trucks from factories enter the villages to sell to the people. However, many trucks carry loads exceeding the traffic capacity, causing serious deterioration of the road. Photo: Tran Le |

According to Mr. Luu Tuan Anh in Thach Tien village - a truck driver, people here have few rice fields, mainly growing sugarcane, acacia and cassava, which are the main sources of income for the people. Every year, the commune cooperates with the Song Lam Sugar Factory to spread stones to upgrade the road, but because of the high traffic volume, the road is getting deeper and deeper, seriously damaged. Just a little rain combined with a lot of trucks traveling, the roads in Thach Ngan turn into mud fields. Photo: Tran Le |

It is known that in addition to vehicles transporting raw materials such as sugarcane, cassava, etc., recently there have been vehicles transporting ore from Thach Tien village downstream (previously banned from mining). One day, many vehicles got stuck on a bad road, causing traffic jams for many hours; many vehicles broke down and had to be repaired, while the remaining vehicles could only wait, and drivers even had to sleep overnight on the road. Although people have repeatedly reported the state of road degradation at voter meetings, hoping that the State will support road construction, for more than 20 years, roads have not been invested in or have been under-invested, and people still have to wade through muddy roads. Photo: Tran Le |
