Pursuant to Article 1 of Resolution 1678/NQ-UBTVQH15 in 2025, there are regulations on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province in 2025 as follows:
Arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province
Based on Project No. 343/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025 of the Government on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decided to arrange to establish commune-level administrative units of Nghe An province as follows:
7. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Tra Lan town, Chi Khe commune and Yen Khe commune into a new commune called Con Cuong commune.
8. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Luc Da commune and Mon Son commune into a new commune called Mon Son commune.
9. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Mau Duc commune and Thach Ngan commune into a new commune called Mau Thach commune.
10. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Cam Lam commune and Don Phuc commune into a new commune called Cam Phuc commune.
11. Arrange the entire natural area and population size of Lang Khe commune and Chau Khe commune into a new commune called Chau Khe commune.
Thus, based on the above regulations, the 5 new communes of Nghe An Province formed from Con Cuong District (old) after the arrangement include:
