The Phan Boi Chau Memorial Site is where Phan Boi Chau lived from 1926 to 1940, a period when he was held under house arrest by the French colonialists and their collaborators. With unwavering loyalty and patriotism, Sao Nam (another name for Phan Boi Chau) continued to call for the national liberation struggle among all segments of the population. After Phan Boi Chau's death (October 29, 1940), in 1941, Huynh Thuc Khang undertook the construction of his mausoleum and memorial church.
