The Vinh City Police Department has initiated a case and temporarily detained Ngo Thi Hanh (born in 1983, residing in Hung Chinh commune, Vinh city) for illegal possession of drugs.

Previously, on October 21, 2016, when Hanh left home on an SH motorbike, it was determined that he was carrying crystal meth, so detectives immediately raided and arrested him. During the search, the police seized a leather bag containing 1.1 kg of crystal meth, 2 cell phones and 1 SH motorbike.

During a search of the suspect's home, the authorities seized VND260,000,000 in cash. At the investigation agency, Ngo Thi Hanh stated that she had purchased the crystal meth from a Mong ethnic group in Tuong Duong district.

Although she is over 30 years old and raising two small children, Ngo Thi Hanh is still the most well-dressed person in the commune, with red lips and rouge on her cheeks like an unmarried girl. Hanh bought a SH motorbike and drives around Vinh City all day…

One thing that surprised the locals was that Hanh was divorced but had just become pregnant and often had relationships with drug addicts and drug dealers. Also during this time, the Vinh City Police Department’s Drug Investigation Team discovered a very secretive methamphetamine trafficking ring, including a woman over 30 years old. Unlike the “bosses” who usually meet at hotels to exchange drugs, this woman often meets her “partners” at restaurants far from the center of Vinh City. Identifying this as a major drug trafficking ring, the Vinh City Police Department decided to establish a special project coded 016D, and assigned the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team to investigate the case. During the implementation process, through verification and understanding of the area, the detectives determined that the subject was Ngo Thi Hanh.

On October 20, receiving information that Hanh was preparing to bring crystal meth to the center of Vinh City to deliver to a subject in another locality, the Task Force deployed an ambush plan and caught the subject red-handed.

As Hanh drove out of the house, the detectives immediately swooped in and arrested her, much to her surprise. At the investigation agency, Ngo Thi Hanh stated that she bought the crystal meth from a Mong ethnic group in Tuong Duong district.

Because the defendant is pregnant, the investigation agency released Ngo Thi Hanh on bail but applied a measure prohibiting her from leaving the locality. The case is being expanded by the Vinh City Police Department.
