During the time he was released on bail for investigation, prosecution, and trial for the act of "fraudulent appropriation of property", Vo Hong Dao continued to use social networks to swindle billions of dong, so the police applied temporary detention measures.

Ca Mau Provincial Police said that the police investigation agency has just issued a decision to temporarily detain Vo Hong Dao (born in 1996, residing in Thoi Binh town, Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province) to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

Previously, in March 2019, Ca Mau Provincial Police decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and release on bail Vo Hong Dao (because she is raising a child under 36 months old) for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

However, during the time he was released on bail to serve the legal proceedings, Dao continued to use the social network Facebook to appropriate the deposits of many other victims with a total value of about 13 billion VND.

According to initial investigation, Vo Hong Dao did not have a stable job. Through social networks, Dao used many nicknames to post information looking for people to cooperate in processing strings, beads, curtains, etc. with high wages.

After many people signed up, Dao presented a contract, which stipulated the processing fee for each type of grain, a specific delivery date, and delivery within 7 to 10 days at the latest, and compensation if late. In particular, to receive the goods to work on, the hired person had to pay a deposit before Dao would deliver the raw materials.

Using the above method, Dao successfully carried out many scams with many people in many provinces and cities. According to Ca Mau Provincial Police, the amount of deposits and wages that Dao appropriated from the victims was up to 55 billion VND.

The investigation agency also seized over 100 sacks containing many exhibits such as necklaces, beads, strings, and threads of various kinds... to continue clarifying the violations.
