(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 16, a delegation of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, Nam Dan, to hold an incense offering and flower offering ceremony, to commemorate and express gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
The ceremony was chaired by Major General Le Hong Nhan - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Commander of the General Staff and Colonel Dong Xuan Buong - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region. The delegation included members of the Party Committee Standing Committee; heads of the Military Region Command; heads of 4 Military Region agencies; representatives of departments and offices of the Military Region.
On the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024), with the tradition of remembering the source of the nation's water, the delegation of the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command expressed their sincere respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of our Party and people, who founded and trained the heroic Vietnam People's Army, an outstanding activist of the international communist and workers' movement.
President Ho Chi Minh devoted and sacrificed his whole life to the cause of national liberation, fighting for the cause of peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people and the people of the world. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh visited Military Region 4 3 times, met dozens of times with delegations of the Military Region 4's armed forces, cadres and soldiers, from leaders and commanders of the Military Region, heroes, emulation fighters to grassroots cadres, militia and self-defense forces, cultural soldiers... Uncle Ho sent letters of praise 36 times, sent gifts many times. Especially, there were 3 compliments, 4 criticisms, 5 instructions from Uncle Ho to the Military Region 4's armed forces.
Following Uncle Ho's advice, throughout the process of building, fighting and growing, the Military Region 4 has always promoted the good qualities of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and the heroic, resilient and indomitable tradition of the land and people of Region 4.
