Defeating Myanmar, the Vietnam U17 team has a wide open chance to win a ticket to the U17 Asian finals
The Vietnam U17 team defeated Myanmar U17 with a score of 2-0, thereby opening the door to a ticket to the 2025 AFC U17 finals.
On the evening of October 25, at Viet Tri Stadium, the Vietnam U17 team had the second match against Myanmar U17 in the U17 Asian qualifiers.
In the opening match, U17 Vietnam drew with U17 Kyrgyzstan. This is not a bad result for coach Cristiano Roland's team, but to win a ticket to the final round, U17 Vietnam must win both U17 Myanmar and U17 Yemen in the remaining 2 matches.
In theory, if looking at the results of the opening match, U17 Vietnam will not face many difficulties in the match against U17 Myanmar - the team that suffered a heavy 1-6 defeat against U17 Yemen. However, the reality may be different because each team has its own lessons and understands its opponent better.

Meanwhile, the Myanmar U17 team will also do everything to keep their hopes alive, or at least have the best result.
Entering the match, the U17 Vietnam team showed great determination. The Golden Star Warriors dominated the game and attacked. Meanwhile, U17 Myanmar took the initiative to play defensive counter-attack. The goal was to win, so coach Cristiano Roland's students pushed the U17 Myanmar team deep into their own half to organize defense.
The ball almost only rolled on the U17 Myanmar field, however the home team still lacked precision in decisive shots.

In the following minutes, the pressure created by U17 Vietnam increased, more opportunities appeared towards the opponent's goal but there was still no opening goal. However, the U17 Vietnam players were stuck in finding a way into the U17 Myanmar goal. The first half ended with a score of 0-0.
Entering the second half, the U17 Vietnam players continued to maintain a one-sided game against U17 Myanmar.
In the 69th minute, U17 Vietnam broke the deadlock. From the left wing, Viet Long skillfully handled the ball to eliminate the U17 Myanmar player before crossing it for Van Duong to jump high and head. The ball hit the ground and flew into the net, leaving goalkeeper Htet Kyaw unable to block it.

The U17 Vietnam team continued to attack to score more goals, thereby ensuring a key victory, while U17 Myanmar was forced to push up their formation to look for opportunities.
In the 89th minute of the match, striker Tran Gia Bao doubled the gap for U17 Vietnam. From the situation where two U17 Myanmar players gave way to each other, Duy Dang had the opportunity to take the ball and run down strongly, then this player crossed the ball smoothly for Gia Bao to shoot into the empty net, doubling the gap. In the end, the U17 Vietnam team won with a score of 2-0.
With the victory over U17 Myanmar, U17 Vietnam has 4 points and ranks second in the group, behind U17 Yemen, the team that has won 6 points after 2 matches. U17 Vietnam will compete with U17 Yemen on October 27 to determine the top position in Group I./.
