List of 2 Deputy Prime Ministers and 12 Government members just approved by the National Assembly

On the morning of April 8, the National Assembly approved the appointment of two Deputy Prime Ministers, 12 ministers and other members of the Government.

The list of approved appointments is as follows:

1. Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai

Mr. Le Minh Khai was born in 1964. Hometown: Vinh Phu Tay commune, Phuoc Long district, Bac Lieu province. Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee; Member of the 12th and 13th Party Central Committee; Delegate of the 14th National Assembly.

He has held many positions such as: Deputy State Auditor General, Deputy Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee, and Government Inspector General.

2. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh

He was born in 1962. Hometown: Tan Lien commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city. Member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms; Delegate of the 12th National Assembly.

Mr. Le Van Thanh has held the following positions: Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Council.

3. Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang

Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang was born in 1960. Hometown: Hong Quang Commune, Nam Truc District, Nam Dinh Province. Member of the Politburo: XIII Term; Member of the Party Central Committee: XII, XIII Term; Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission.

He held the positions of Commander of Military Region 1; Deputy Minister of National Defense; Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Member of the Central Military Commission, Senior Lieutenant General, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

4. Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son

Mr. Bui Thanh Son was born in 1962. Hometown: Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi City. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th and 13th terms. Delegate of the 14th National Assembly

5. Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra was born in 1964. Hometown: Nam Yen Commune, Nam Dan District, Nghe An. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th and 13th terms. She has held the following positions: Deputy Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Council, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. On September 25, 2020, the Politburo transferred and assigned her to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, and appointed her to participate in the Party Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

6. Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc

7. Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son

Mr. Tran Van Son was born in 1961. Hometown: Hai Anh Commune, Hai Hau District, Nam Dinh Province. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th and 13th terms; Delegate of the 14th National Assembly.

Before being introduced, he held the positions of: Deputy Minister of Construction, Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Government Office.

8. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan

Mr. Le Minh Hoan was born in 1961. Hometown: My Tra commune, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th, 13th terms; National Assembly delegate: 11th, 13th, 14th terms.

9. Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien

Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien was born in 1965. Hometown: Hong Minh Commune, Hung Ha District, Thai Binh Province. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th and 13th terms; Delegate of the 14th National Assembly

He has held the following positions: Head of the Propaganda Department of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary and then Permanent Deputy Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Council and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

10. Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son

11. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung was born in 1961. Hometown: Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province. Member of the Party Central Committee: Term XII, XIII.

He has held the positions of Deputy Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Council, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

12. Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh

Mr. Hau A Lenh was born in 1973. Hometown: Ta Van Commune, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai Province. Member of the Party Central Committee: Term X (alternate), XI (alternate), XII, XIII.

He has held the positions of: Secretary of Sa Pa District Party Committee, Lao Cai Province; Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and Permanent Deputy Head of the Northwest Steering Committee; Vice Chairman-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

13. Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi was born in 1976. Hometown: Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province. Member of the Party Central Committee: 11th (alternate), 12th, 13th terms; National Assembly delegate, 14th term.

He has held the following positions: Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Deputy Minister of Construction, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and then Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee. On October 5, 2020, the Prime Minister appointed him to the position of Deputy Minister of Construction.

14. Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong

Mr. Doan Hong Phong was born in 1963. Hometown: Quy Nhat Town, Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province. Member of the Party Central Committee: 12th and 13th terms; Delegate of the 14th National Assembly.
