List of 45 mountainous communes in Nghe An Delta region with reduced tuition fees from the 2019-2020 school year

At the 10th session - the recent extraordinary session, the People's Council of Nghe An province passed a Resolution amending and supplementing Section III, Clause 1, Article 2 of Resolution No. 53/2016/NQ-HDND dated December 16, 2016 regulating tuition fees in public educational and training institutions under the management of Nghe An province from semester II of the 2016-2017 school year to the 2020-2021 school year.

Accordingly, 45 mountainous communes in 6 delta districts, including Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, and Do Luong, have their tuition fees adjusted from region 3 to region 4.

Currently, tuition fees for region 3 are as follows:Preschool level: 100,000 VND/month/student; secondary level: 60,000 VND/month/student; high school and supplementary high school level: 90,000 VND/month/student.

Tuition fees for region 4:Preschool level: 45,000 VND/month/student; secondary level: 35,000 VND/month/student; high school and supplementary high school level: 45,000 VND/month/student.

Thus, students at 3 levels: preschool, middle school, high school and high school supplementary education in these 45 communes will have their tuition fees reduced from less than 50% to over 50% according to Resolution No. 53/2016/NQ-HDND issued by the Provincial People's Council previously. The total tuition fee after adjusting the payment level in these 45 communes will be reduced by more than 14 billion VND.

The adjustment of tuition fees for 45 mountainous communes in 6 delta districts by the Provincial People's Council this time is to suit the educational levels, training levels and socio-economic development conditions of each locality in the province. This new regulation is also consistent with the zoning of communes, villages and hamlets according to Decision No. 582/QD-TTg dated April 28, 2017 of the Prime Minister on approving the list of extremely disadvantaged villages, communes in Region III, Region II, Region I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2016-2020 and Decision No. 103/QD-TTg dated January 22, 2019 of the Prime Minister on approving the addition, adjustment and renaming of the list of extremely disadvantaged villages, communes in Region III, Region II, Region I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2016-2020).

List of 45 communes in 6 districts with reduced tuition fees from the 2019-2020 school year

1. Nam Dan district has 5 communes:Nam Hung, Nam Loc, Nam Tan, Nam Thai, Nam Thuong.

2. Nghi Loc district has 7 communes:Nghi Hung, Nghi Kieu, Nghi Lam, Nghi Van, Nghi Yen, Nghi Cong Bac, Nghi Cong Nam.

3. Dien Chau district has 1 commune:Dien Lam.

4. Quynh Luu district has 7 communes:Ngoc Son, Quynh Chau, Quynh Hoa, Quynh Tam, Quynh Tan, Quynh Thang, Tan Son.

5. Yen Thanh district has 18 communes:Dai Thanh, Dong Thanh, Duc Thanh, Hau Thanh, Hung Thanh, Kim Thanh, Lang Thanh, Ly Thanh, Ma Thanh, Minh Thanh, My Thanh, Phuc Thanh, Quang Thanh, Tay Thanh, Thinh Thanh, Tien Thanh, Son Thanh, Tan Thanh.

6. Do Luong district has 7 communes:Bai Son, Giang Son Dong, Giang Son Tay, Hong Son, Lam Son, Nam Son, Ngoc Son.
