Marks of innovation and creativity in the work of grassroots trade union congresses of Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union

On the morning of April 28, Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union held a conference with three main contents: Summarizing the work of the grassroots trade union congress; deploying the plan to organize activities in response to Workers' Month 2023; deploying key activities in the second quarter of 2023. Successfully completed the grassroots union congress

The direction of the grassroots trade union congress for the 2023-2028 term is closely followed by the Standing Committee of the Civil Servants' Trade Union under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation to develop a plan to organize the congresses of the affiliated grassroots trade unions towards the 5th Congress of the Civil Servants' Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term.

Accordingly, it has issued guiding documents, actively directed and urged grassroots trade unions to implement the Congress Plan; selected 3 grassroots trade unions representing 3 types of activities to direct and organize model congresses to ensure quality and progress. After the model congress, the Standing Committee of the Civil Servants' Trade Union organized an assessment, immediately learned from experience and issued documents to direct all affiliated grassroots trade unions to register the time to approve and organize the grassroots trade union congress, with the completion date before March 31, 2023.

Results: 38/49 affiliated grassroots trade unions completed the organization of the Congress before March 31, 2023, ensuring the time schedule requirements, 11 affiliated grassroots trade unions completed the organization of the Congress in April 2023.

The organization of the Grassroots Trade Union Congress took place in accordance with the correct procedures, democracy, objectivity, ensuring the principles and regulations of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter and the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union.

Emulation activities to welcome the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels for the 2023 - 2028 term were carried out synchronously and enthusiastically. Notably, the movement "Each grassroots trade union has a practical project and part of work" was seriously implemented, in line with the reality at the grassroots level.The movement “Creating videos and clips to promote the activities of trade unions to welcome the Trade Union Congresses at all levels” has also received enthusiastic responses. Some units have invested and stored well the documents of activities during the term to create videos and clips to promote the activities of trade unions to welcome the Trade Union Congresses at all levels.

Actively implement activities during Workers' Month

With the theme "Connecting workers, building organizations", the activities of "Workers' Month" in 2023 aim to arouse the tradition of solidarity, creativity, promote the pioneering role of union members in carrying out the political tasks of agencies and units; contribute to the good implementation of the political tasks of each unit, practically welcome the 5th Congress of Civil Servants' Trade Union, towards the 19th Nghe An Trade Union Congress and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028.

Some of the key tasks include activities to care for and protect the rights of workers at agencies and units, such as: Organizing visits and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances. At the same time, coordinating to organize sharing and support activities for workers, laborers and businesses after the Covid-19 pandemic and surveying the lives of union members in difficult circumstances who request to build new or repair houses to prepare a dossier to request support from the Union Shelter Fund in May 2022. Strengthening cultural and sports exchange activities, taking care of the spiritual life of workers.

In addition, it is necessary to actively respond to emulation movements organized by trade unions, especially the Program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The organization of trade union activities needs to focus on the contents revolving around the theme "Aspiration - Responsibility - Innovation - Development" to synthesize and reflect at the dialogue conference between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and department-level management leaders and experts in the provincial agencies in 2023.
