Strengthening propaganda and political and ideological education for union members and workers in Thanh Chuong

On the afternoon of March 12, the Party Delegation of the Provincial Labor Federation worked with the Standing Committee of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee to evaluate the results of implementing Resolution 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", evaluate the results of implementing the Regulations on coordination of work between the two units and orient key tasks in 2024.

Attending the conference were leaders at all levels, representatives of departments under the Provincial Labor Federation and Thanh Chuong District Party Committee.

Thanh Chuong District Labor Federation currently manages 169 grassroots unions. Of which: 51 unions in administrative agencies, public service units, 108 unions in schools, 10 unions in enterprises with a total number of union members: 5,849 people, accounting for 98% of the total number of workers and employees.

In recent times, the Coordination Regulations between the Provincial Labor Federation Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee have achieved many positive results, especially in propaganda work, developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, creating a basis for developing party members, and establishing Party organizations in enterprises.

Specifically, from 2023 to present, the District Labor Federation has developed and established 3 grassroots unions with 1,720 union members. Through the activities of the grassroots unions, outstanding union members have been discovered, focused on training and introducing 142 union members to attend the Party awareness class and admitted 82 outstanding union members to the Party.

After 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", the Vietnam General Confederation of LaborThanh Chuong districtDeveloped and established 5 grassroots unions, newly developed 1,866 union members.

Attending the conference, delegates gave many comments to make the implementation of Resolution 02-NQ/TW as well as the coordination program between the two units more effective in the coming time.

Acknowledging the achievements, pointing out the difficulties and limitations, comrade Kha Van Tam hopes that the Party Committee, the government and the departments will continue to pay attention to make the coordination program more effective. At the same time, he requested the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to continue to implement, monitor, inspect and evaluate the implementation program of Resolution 02-NQ/TW at the grassroots level; Continue to promote propaganda and political and ideological education for union members and workers; Continue to persistently and creatively build and develop grassroots trade unions in small and medium-sized enterprises, attract and mobilize the establishment of trade union organizations in new enterprises; More clearly implement the representative role of trade union organizations; Continue to focus on implementing emulation movements that are substantial and meaningful, linked to the development targets of the district; Continue to coordinate to build a sufficient number of trade union officials and improve their quality.

Also at the conference, the head of Nghe An Trade Union gave instructions and orientations to Thanh Chuong District Labor Federation in the coming time. At the same time, he hoped that from this meeting, Thanh Chuong District Trade Union would have clear development steps.
