Promote propaganda of sea and island sovereignty to Vietnamese people abroad
On November 11, the Navy Command and the Overseas Party Committee summarized the program of coordination in propaganda work on seas and islands for the period 2010-2015 and signed the program for implementation in the coming time.

Vice Admiral Dinh Gia That, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Navy Command, emphasized that the coordination of propaganda work between the two units is a practical work contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.
Over the years, propaganda work has been identified by the Navy Command as the spearhead for people to change their awareness, understand the sacred and noble mission of Navy soldiers, and understand the value of the Fatherland's sea and sky.
Together with the Overseas Party Committee, the Navy has signed propaganda and cooperation agreements with 46 provinces and cities nationwide (including 18 coastal provinces), with 15 ministries, departments, branches and leading national media agencies.
In which, the forms of propaganda are rich and diverse, from word of mouth, using media channels to going to the field.
The Overseas Party Committee has also promoted and brought many Vietnamese living abroad to directly visit the people, cadres and soldiers living in Truong Sa island district; this is a great spiritual and material encouragement for the people, cadres and soldiers on duty here.
In the coming time, the Navy Command and the Overseas Party Committee will continue to promote coordination in propaganda work.
Specifically, the Overseas Party Committee focuses on implementing tasks and solutions such as: strengthening coordination with the Navy Command and domestic functional agencies to promote foreign information work, propagating the Party and State's foreign policies and guidelines on protecting the Fatherland in the period of international integration; regularly and promptly providing current information on the situation of seas and islands to foreign Party committees; improving the quality of media products on seas and islands; continuing to carry out the campaign "Cadres, Party members, and Vietnamese people abroad turn to beloved Truong Sa."
The Navy Command carries out tasks and solutions such as: innovating and enhancing the provision of information, especially information on the situation of seas and islands, on the struggle of the Navy forces at hot spots, ensuring timeliness; coordinating with the Overseas Party Committee's Organizing Committee to take measures to strengthen the management of party members and develop new party members...
During the 2010-2015 period, the Overseas Party Committee and the Navy Command coordinated to disseminate information about the sea and islands in a timely and effective manner, contributing to raising awareness, orienting the thoughts and activities of cadres, party members, and the Vietnamese community abroad towards the homeland's sea and islands.
Foreign Party Committees have donated and supported the military and civilians who are directly doing business and living in the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos with a total amount of nearly 11 billion VND; organized many trips for cadres and party members of the Overseas Party Committee to visit and give gifts to the military and civilians of Truong Sa island district to encourage patriotism and protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland, thereby spreading to the overseas community and international friends.
In addition, leaders of the Navy Command joined leaders of the Overseas Party Committee to talk directly and provide information to cadres, party members, and Vietnamese people abroad, helping the overseas Vietnamese community grasp the situation of the Fatherland's seas and islands./.
