Nominate personnel for 4 key leadership positions

On the afternoon of January 11, Head of the Central Organization Committee To Huy Rua read the Politburo's report accepting the Central Committee's opinions to supplement personnel for the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, Secretariat and nominate personnel for four key leadership positions of the 12th term.

On the first working day of the 14th Conference of the 11th Party Central Committee, after General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong delivered the opening speech, President Truong Tan Sang chaired the opening session.

In the morning, the Central Committee worked in the conference hall. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung read the Politburo's report on the results of negotiations and asked for approval to sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP). Afterwards, the Central Committee discussed the above content in groups.

Speaking at the opening of the 14th Central Conference this morning, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that after the 13th Central Conference, based on the results of the Central Executive Committee's recommendations and the recommendations of the members of the Politburo and Secretariat of the 11th tenure, the Personnel Subcommittee and the Politburo discussed, carefully considered and agreed to introduce key leadership personnel of the 12th tenure, including members of the Politburo and Secretariat of the 11th tenure who meet the standards, conditions, and age, and in "special" cases, to be re-elected for the 12th tenure.

The Personnel Subcommittee and the Politburo also studied, reviewed, considered and proposed to introduce a number of additional members of the 11th Central Committee in "special" cases for re-election to the 12th term. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong requested that the Central Committee carefully study the Politburo's Proposal, discuss and contribute opinions to complete the Report on personnel work of the 11th Central Committee to be submitted to the 12th Congress, and at the same time consider and nominate personnel for 4 key leadership positions of the 12th term.
