Proposal to dismiss 2 Deputy Prime Ministers Vu Van Ninh and Hoang Trung Hai

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just submitted to the National Assembly for approval the dismissal of two Deputy Prime Ministers, 16 Ministers and two other members of the Government.

Proposal to approve the dismissal from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Mr. Hoang Trung Hai - Politburo member who has taken on the responsibility of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Mr. Vu Van Ninh (retired).

Mr. Hoang Trung Hai and Mr. Vu Van Ninh will be considered and approved by the National Assembly to be dismissed from the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

Four ministers and heads of sectors were proposed to be approved for dismissal because they had accepted new responsibilities and were awaiting assignment, including: Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang, who was recently elected by the National Assembly as President; Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Van Binh, Politburo member (waiting for assignment); Minister, Head of the Government Office Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office.

In addition, Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee was also proposed to resign from the position of Minister of Construction to be assigned to a new assignment.

13 Ministers who were not re-elected as members of the Party Central Committee after the 12th Congress and reached retirement age include: Phung Quang Thanh (Ministry of National Defense), Nguyen Thai Binh (Ministry of Home Affairs), Ha Hung Cuong (Ministry of Justice), Bui Quang Vinh (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Vu Huy Hoang (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Nguyen Minh Quang (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), Nguyen Bac Son (Ministry of Information and Communications), Pham Thi Hai Chuyen (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs), Hoang Tuan Anh (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Nguyen Quan (Ministry of Science and Technology), Pham Vu Luan (Ministry of Education and Training), Giang Seo Phu (Ethnic Committee), Huynh Phong Tranh (Government Inspectorate).

National Assembly deputies will discuss in groups before voting to finalize the list and vote by secret ballot to approve the proposal to dismiss the above positions in the afternoon./
