The Social Science exam is within reach, the Natural Science exam is a bit 'difficult'

At the examination site of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, candidate Tran Ngoc Minh was one of the earliest candidates to leave. He himself wasCandidatefree, before that Minh majored in Geodetic Engineering at the University of Natural Sciences - National University.

However, after nearly 1 year of studying, Minh thought that this major was not suitable for him and took a leave of absence to retake the exam with the combination of Math - English - Geography.

Talking about his test, this candidate said: I found this year's Geography test easy, without any complicated or strange questions. I did the first 32 questions easily. However, the next 8 questions took a bit of thinking but were not too difficult.

Candidate Minh Trang -Phan Boi Chau High School for the GiftedI have also decided to study abroad so I am not too stressed about this year's exam. Trang has also chosen the Social Sciences subject group for graduation and is confident in her work: I think the Social Sciences subject group is easy and the level of the 3 subjects is similar. Of which, I find Geography the easiest, because this is my favorite subject. With History, the distribution of questions for Vietnamese history is more than world history. But the difficult questions are not about world history but about Vietnamese history. Civic Education has many questions with similar situations and choosing the correct answer is difficult.

The Biology exam was similar to the sample exam and the practice exam, so there weren't too many surprises and I did well. Physics, for non-specialist candidates like me, was not easy compared to yesterday's Math exam.

As a candidate who left the exam room early at Dong Hieu High School (Thai Hoa town), Nguyen Thu Huyen said that the combined exam of Natural Science was suitable for candidates. The first 35 questions covered basic knowledge, the last 15 questions were clearly differentiated, and candidates had to apply practical knowledge to do well.

Candidate Yen Nhi - Dong Hieu High School added: In my opinion, this year's combined exam of Natural Science subjects is within my ability, reducing part of the curriculum due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Physics and Chemistry questions are mainly theoretical knowledge, the calculation questions are not difficult. I think this year many students will get high scores.

Sharing the same opinion, Nguyen Van Nam - Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) assessed that this year's Social Science exam had more basic knowledge, easier than last year, especially History. Geography had more questions that could use ATLAT than previous years. The Civic Education exam had quite clear answers, so he himself did not have any difficulty in doing the test. Doing 3 consecutive exams also made me a bit tired" - Nam added.

Ha Thi Na - a student at Muong Qua High School (Con Cuong) who took the Social Science exam said: The exam was moderate and not too difficult, but the History exam was a bit long, with some quite difficult questions that required high thinking and reasoning. The Geography and Civic Education exams were relatively easy. I did relatively well on all three subjects and had just enough time, so I hope I get the score I expected.

Nguyen Viet Anh - a 12th grader at Con Cuong High School, who took the combined exam of Natural Science, said: The test has a high level of differentiation to classify students, with difficult and easy questions mixed together. I think that students with average academic ability will be eligible for graduation, and students who are more interested in Natural Science subjects will also get high scores in this part of the test because the test is close to the content of our review. Although I still have time, I have taken the opportunity to review my test, I hope that I will get a good score or higher in this part of the test.

At the end of the exam session on the morning of July 8, at 3 exam locations in Anh Son district, the general assessment of the combined exam of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences was that most candidates commented that it was within their ability and not too difficult, and most of the candidates felt quite comfortable after leaving the exam room.

Just coming out of the exam room, Phan Thi Quynh Huong - a student of class 12T1, Anh Son 1 High School, taking the Natural Science exam, said: "I found this year's exam to be within my ability, the questions were close to the content we had reviewed, some questions were meant to differentiate students. All 3 subjects from question 30 onwards have a gradual level of difficulty, requiring candidates to know how to apply basic knowledge from textbooks and expand and improve, so I also calculated very carefully. The time for each exam is 50 minutes and taking 3 subjects consecutively, so I was quite stressed. However, thanks to careful review, I did quite well. I think I got about 85% of the questions correct. I think that with this exam, students who are more interested in Natural Science subjects will get high scores.

After completing the Social Science exam, many candidates at Anh Son 3 High School were happy because they did quite well. They said that the exam questions were not too difficult or complicated, and that they had learned all the knowledge.

Nguyen Thi Thuy, class 12C4 - Anh Son 3 High School shared: The combined exam for Social Sciences this year was not too difficult, quite close to the program I had reviewed. For History, there were questions that required high thinking and reasoning to classify students, while the other questions were at a moderate level. The exam for Geography and Civic Education was within my ability, with many questions close to reality, increasing in difficulty from question 30 onwards.

In Do Luong district, students took the combined exam of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences in cool, sunny weather. After 150 minutes of taking the exam, students walked out of the exam site with mixed feelings of joy and sadness.

Hoang Thi Lan Anh, a 12th grader at Do Luong 1 High School, said: “I took the Social Science test, the History test was very difficult, I could only do 50% of the test. I did relatively well in Geography and Civic Education.

Hoang Dinh Tai, a 12B student who also took the Social Science exam, commented: “The History exam was difficult, every question was difficult. Some of my classmates did it all, but I don’t know if it was right or wrong. I think I got 50% of the questions right in this subject exam.”

In addition to high school students, students from continuing education schools had even more difficulty with the History exam. Nguyen Canh Trung Duc, a 12B student, left the exam site in a bad mood and said: "I took exam code 321, I only did about 45% of the History exam, I found the Geography exam easy."

For students taking the Natural Science exam, this year's Physics exam was very "tricky". Nguyen Phuong Nam - class 12A2 said: "I took exam code 207, the Physics exam was too difficult, I could only get 5 points at most".

In addition to students with good academic performance, even excellent students commented that the Physics exam was difficult. Typically, for exam code 203, questions 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 were very difficult.

At the Quy Hop 1 High School exam site, candidate Nguyen Thi Trang finished the exam in a happy mood, without pressure. Trang said that the Social Science exam was clear and not too difficult. She got about 7-8 points for Geography, 3-4 points for History, and 9 points for Civics. As for candidate Nguyen Tieu Nhi, who took the Natural Science exam, this year's exam was within her ability for university entrance exam candidates in group D like her, so she could easily get an average score. Her Biology score was about 5 points, Chemistry 6 points, and Physics 6 points.

According to some candidates at this testing site, both the Social Sciences and Natural Sciences exams were within their ability and not difficult. Candidates who had a solid basic review could easily achieve 7 or 8 points.

After 3 hours of taking the test, the candidates walked out of the exam site at Dang Thai Mai High School, Thanh Giang Commune (Thanh Chuong) in a happy mood.

Regarding the combined exam of social sciences, Nguyen Thi Trang, a 12th grade student, excitedly said that this year's combined exam of social sciences was "quite easy", suitable for candidates. Of the 3 subjects: History, Geography, Civic Education, the History exam was more difficult. In History alone, she did about 60%, the other 2 subjects were 80%.

As one of the first students to leave the exam site, Nguyen Quang Nghia - a 12B student said: "The exam for 3 subjects in the Social Science group this morning was close to the program. I did well in Civic Education and worst in History. I was not sure about many answers, so I circled them and estimated that each subject was worth about 6 points.

Regarding the combined exam of Natural Science, Nguyen Phi Hoang - a student of grade 12A happily shared: I found the exam of 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology to be moderately difficult. Each multiple choice test has 40 questions, of which 30 are relatively easy, and the last 10 questions increase in difficulty.

I have a firm grasp of the knowledge and have reviewed thoroughly, so I did quite well with the 3 natural science subjects, of which Chemistry was the "best", I predict Chemistry will be more than 8 points, the remaining 2 subjects, each about 7.5 points.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the third exam session (combined subject exam) in the whole province had 33,480 candidates. The total number of absent candidates was 33.

This morning, one candidate violated the exam regulations at the Ha Huy Tap High School exam site by bringing a cell phone into the exam area. No exam staff violated the regulations. There were no unusual incidents at the exam sites. The exam took place normally, safely, and seriously.
