(Baonghean.vn) - After 120 minutes of testing, at exactly 10:00 this morning, the candidates completed the final exam of the 10th grade entrance exam, Math.

In Vinh city,On the last day of the exam, the weather was quite favorable for the candidates as the sun was no longer harsh. Coming out of the exam room, the candidates felt quite relieved because they had completed the 10th grade entrance exam. However, besides that, the pressure of admission also made many candidates worried.

At the Ha Huy Tap High School exam site, this year the school has 929 candidates taking the exam but only has 630 spots, so the entrance exam is quite difficult. For many years, Ha Huy Tap High School has also been one of the schools with quite high standard scores, fluctuating above 30 points, so to be admitted to the school, the average score for each subject must be at least 6.5 points to be sure to pass.

For the above reasons, candidates at this testing site all tried their best for the final exam. After completing his test, candidate Nguyen Ngoc Manh - Ha Huy Tap Secondary School said: I did about 75% of the test but was only sure about 60% correct, the rest I was not very confident. In my opinion, this year's test was quite difficult, the most difficult of which were question 5 and questions b and c in the geometry section.

The difficulty of the exam is also a common opinion of many candidates. At the Ha Huy Tap High School exam site, some candidates cried after finishing the last exam. Unable to hide his sadness, student Hoang Hoai Nam - Nghi Phu Secondary School said: This year's exam structure is the same as previous years, but the nature of the exam is more difficult and I can't do much. I am currently waiting for the results but I am not sure if I will pass. I just hope this year's admission score will be lower than last year.

After the math exam ended, in many parent groups of each class, the number of parents whose children were able to do the test was not many. A parent whose child took the exam for Le Viet Thuat High School said, “My child said the test was very difficult, the student was bored so he sat to kill time”; another parent said, “My child said the test was tricky, then he cried so much after the exam, it was so sad.”

In the districtThanh Chuong:After the drum beat signaled the end of the Math exam, the first candidates left the exam site of Dang Thai Mai High School in Thanh Giang Commune (Thanh Chuong) in an excited mood. Parents gathered in large numbers in front of the school gate, anxiously waiting to welcome the candidates.

Tran Van Tu, a 9th grade student at Thanh Ha Secondary School, said: The math test this morning was moderately difficult for me. Just by skimming through the test, I felt it would be “easy to solve”. Of the 5 questions in the test, I found the first 4 to be easy, and the last question to be the most difficult.

“In general, the test questions are quite similar to the general education program. If you have a solid grasp of the knowledge, you will be able to do the test and get a good score. With my learning ability, I can do almost everything.”

Finishing the Math exam with optimism, Tu predicted that he would get 8 points on the exam. With this score and his efforts in the previous exams, Tu hoped to pass the 10th grade.

Also leaving the exam site at Dang Thai Mai High School, Nguyen Thi Le Quyen, a 9th grader at Thanh Mai Middle School, shared: I studied hard, but did not do very well on the test. After finishing the Math exam, I felt less pressured. I thought I would pass the 10th grade, but the result was not high.

This morning, June 4, students from 2 districtsNghia Dan and Thai Hoa townEntering the Math exam. According to many candidates, this year's Math exam was within students' ability, closely following textbook knowledge and had highly classified questions for students in both algebra and geometry.

Candidate Hoang Bao Nam, a student at Quang Tien Secondary School (Thai Hoa) commented: "This year's Math exam followed the curriculum, mainly revolving around knowledge learned in class and following the spirit of what you learn is what you test. The questions have knowledge spread evenly throughout the school year. In my opinion, the first 3 questions are the easiest to score points. However, the exam also has difficult questions in part C, question 4 geometry and question 5 solving systems of equations. Average students can get 6.5 - 7 points, while good students can get 8 - 9 points on this exam."

At the May 1 High School exam site, many candidates left the exam room in a relaxed mood due to the cool weather. They said that this year's Math test was somewhat more difficult than last year's, but in general, it followed the curriculum closely. This year's Math test was spread evenly from the first semester to the second semester. If anyone reviewed thoroughly and had a firm grasp of the knowledge, they could easily do the test. With the Geometry and the final questions that classify students, many students can skip them because they know their own abilities, not solving those questions but focusing on thinking about the basic questions to secure their score, only after finishing, thinking more to solve them, Le Van Thang, a student at Nghia Phu Secondary School added.

In Con Cuong districtAfter 120 minutes of taking the test, the candidates left the exam room worriedly, saying that the test was relatively difficult and had clear differentiation.

After the exam, Nguyen Thi Thao Suong, a student from Yen Khe Secondary School, commented that the Math exam was not easy, only students with good academic performance could complete the requirements of the exam. For students with average academic performance, they could only complete about 40% of the exam. According to Suong, the most difficult exam was the Geometry section and question 5, solving systems of equations. Personally, she could only complete 50%, and it is not certain that all of them were correct.

Candidate Phan Quynh Anh, grade 9, Tra Lan Secondary School, commented: The exam has a high level of differentiation. The content of the exam is mainly in the grade 9 curriculum. This year, due to the impact of the Covid 19 epidemic, our review content has been shortened and more focused. The exam has difficult questions to classify excellent students to get 9 and 10 points. Of which, the geometry part is the most difficult. However, if you review carefully, you can do well in 60% of the exam.

At the High School exam siteQuy ChauOn the morning of June 4, 351 candidates from 8 junior high schools in the area took the Math exam, which was also the last exam subject of this year's 10th grade entrance exam. After the exam, most candidates commented that this year's exam had some more difficult questions, requiring more complex solutions than previous years.

Tran Tra My, a 9A2 student at Hanh Thiet Secondary School - the first candidate to leave the exam room said: "This year's Math exam was suitable for my academic ability, I finished the exam 20 minutes before the scheduled time, however when I left the exam room I was only confident that I had done about 70% well."

Lu Thi Hien Lanh, a 9th grade student at Hoi Nga Boarding Secondary School, said, "This year's exam was more difficult than last year's, especially question number 3, which involved solving math problems by creating a system of equations. I was only 50% confident that I could do it."

Ms. Le Thi Hang, a math teacher at Hanh Thiet Secondary School, commented: “This year’s math exam is quite difficult for average students. The exam structure is reasonable but there is strong differentiation among candidates. Average candidates will have difficulty determining the exam.”

Candidates in the districtDo LuongWhen leaving the exam room, everyone commented that the math test was quite difficult, very few students could finish the entire test.

Nguyen Cao Hieu, a student at Vo Thi Sau Secondary School, said: “The test was too difficult, I only got about 6.5 points. During the review process, I did the test “right on” questions 1, 2, 3. Question 5 was the most difficult, I couldn’t do it. Nguyen Thi Tham, with a sweaty face, said sadly: “The test was difficult, I probably only got about 5.75 points. My classmates couldn’t do it either.”

Commenting on this year's exam, teacher Tran Thi Mai Chi - Teacher at Nghi Thai Secondary School (Nghi Loc) said: This year's exam closely follows the illustrated structure. However, the exam also has high differentiation: With this exam, I think there won't be many 10s. For students who study well, getting 8.5 points is not easy.

Specifically, question 1 follows the exam structure with simplified math forms, radicals and functions. With this question, students can easily get points.

In question 2: The question classifies in point B about quadratic equations.

Question 3: This type of math problem is not strange, solving problems by setting up equations. This question is not difficult, but it will be difficult for ordinary students to get points if they do not practice a lot.

Question 4: The questions closely follow the structure, questions about inscribed quadrilaterals. Students can apply the knowledge in the textbook. However, this year's questions are quite "strange" compared to previous years because normally the sum of two opposite angles is given, but this year the candidates are required to calculate based on two consecutive vertices.

Question c classifies students on the type of proving equal angles is difficult.

Question 5: This is a question about classifying and calculating systems of equations. This is a question about classifying and calculating systems of equations and roots, so it is difficult for candidates to do the test.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh, a Math teacher at Tra Lan Secondary School, Con Cuong, commented: the structure of this year's Math exam has not changed, but the way the questions are asked is somewhat innovative and creative, requiring candidates to carefully read the practical application questions to be able to answer correctly. This year's exam is more difficult than last year's exam and has a much higher classification than previous years, so even good students will find it difficult to achieve the maximum score.
