Hundred-year-old temple burned down

(Baonghean.vn) - Fire broke out inside the temple, then burned fiercely, burning down the entire lower temple of Doc Loi Son in Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan).

On the afternoon of September 12, Mr. Tran Manh Hong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Giang Commune (Nam Dan) said that a fire broke out at around 2:30 p.m. on September 12, burning down almost the entire lower temple of Doc Loi Son Temple.

According to Mr. Hong, when people living near the temple discovered the fire coming from the temple, they reported it to the local authorities. Immediately after that, the local authorities called the Fire Police force.

When the fire police force arrived, the fire had already broken out. Dozens of soldiers and three fire trucks sprayed water to put out the fire, but due to the dry weather and strong winds, the fire grew stronger and stronger. About 30 minutes later, the fire was completely extinguished.

At the scene, most of the underground electrical system was burned down to the frame, the temple pillars were charred black, and broken tiles were scattered everywhere. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.

By late afternoon, police were organizing a crime scene investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
