Vinh City Police are detaining Le Ngoc Phi (born in 1995, residing in Hamlet 4, Huong Vinh Commune, Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh) to investigate and clarify the act of property theft.

Le Ngoc Phi is the suspect in the theft of property at the house of Ms. Tran Thi Hong (born 1984) in Trung Hoa 2 block, Le Mao ward, Vinh city on the afternoon of May 23.

At around 3:30 p.m., Phi and N.D.C (living in Can Loc district, Ha Tinh) went to Ms. Hong's house to install an air conditioner. While working, Phi saw Ms. Hong go into the kitchen, take out a wad of money, give one to her friend, and then put it back in the drawer.

Seeing the large amount of money, Phi had the idea of ​​stealing. When his co-worker went out to buy more materials and took advantage of the homeowner's carelessness, Phi went up to open the drawer, stole the stack of money, and hid it in the hallway, waiting for the opportunity to bring it back.

After the worker left, Ms. Hong checked the cabinet and discovered that the money had disappeared. She immediately reported the incident to the Le Mao Ward Police. According to Ms. Hong, the amount of money stolen was 68 million VND.

After receiving the information, Le Mao Ward Police collected information and quickly checked the suspects. All suspicions focused on the two air conditioner installers in the afternoon.

During a search of Phi's boarding house in Hamlet 4, Hung Loc Commune (Vinh City), the police seized all the money. At the police station, Phi bowed his head and admitted his guilt, saying that at that time he could not control his greed, so he stole the money to spend.
