Owning more than 3 hectares of Shan Tuyet Tea, generating an income of 45 to 50 million VND per year, Mr. Denh Dua Cho's family, Huoi Kha village, is one of the households with the largest tea area in Huoi Tu commune. Before 2000, listening to the instigation and enticement of some people saying that it was easy to do business in Laos, with large land and many wild birds and animals, he and his wife sold all their assets and crossed the border to Laos.
However, life in Laos is not really as people say, very hard and miserable. In 2003, the family returned to their hometown of Huoi Tu. After that, his family was supported by the 8th Youth Volunteer Corps - Nghe An Construction and Development, who disseminated the technique of growing Shan tea. Thanks to good care, after 3 years, the tea tree helped his family escape poverty and completely end the illegal nomadic farming and migration to Laos.

In addition to taking care of the tea hills to develop well, Denh Dua Cho also raises breeding cows and beef cattle with a quantity of 40 heads. |
Mr. Denh Dua Cho confided: "Life in Laos was very hard, there was no job, no land, no house... But now that I'm back here, I know how to do business, I grow tea, I raise cows, I have a lot of money, life is stable now."
After escaping poverty, Mr. Cho sought to get rich. He reclaimed more than 5 hectares of bare hills to grow grass and raise cattle. Initially, due to limited capital, he only raised 2 pairs of breeds on a trial basis. Later, seeing that they could develop well and were suitable for his breeding area, he continued to develop the herd.
To date, Mr. Cho's family's herd has grown to over 40 cows, bringing in an annual income of 100-150 million VND. From a poor household moving here and there, Mr. Denh Dua Cho's family has risen to become a typical example of economic development in the village and commune.
