Going to Nam Can border market, Ky Son district will have to use an entry card.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Nam Can International Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) has just issued Document No. 707/DBP-TN on the implementation of using entry cards to Nam Can border market (Ky Son).
Accordingly, Vietnamese citizens who want to go to Nam Can border market in Nam Can commune (Ky Son district) must present their citizen identification card or valid personal documents (passport, travel permit, driver's license, etc.) to the Border Guard officer on duty at barrier number 2 to register information, receive a card to enter and exit the market and enter the border gate area.
In cases where the conditions for issuance of a citizen identification card or other valuable documents are not met, an adult (parent or guardian) must be present.
When arriving at the control area, citizens must present their entry and exit cards to the Border Guard officer on duty at barrier number 1 for inspection. When returning, citizens must return their entry and exit cards to the Border Guard officer (at barrier number 2) before leaving the border gate area.
The entry and exit card is only valid for the market area and cannot be used to replace valid entry and exit documents according to current regulations; absolutely do not use the card to go through the Lao border gate.
The document also clearly states: Citizens entering and exiting the border market area must strictly comply with regulations on ensuring security and order at the border gate area; the Agreement on border regulations, land border gates between Vietnam and Laos. Do not participate in assisting, illegally transporting goods across the border area, border gates and other illegal acts.
Always wear your entry card while going to the market and be subject to inspection, supervision and guidance from the Border Guard in the border gate area; do not lend your card to others.
In case of card loss, it must be reported immediately to the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station to assist in investigation and verification. Those who do not have a card may be subject to administrative sanctions according to the law.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Duc - Head of the Border Guard Station at Nam Can International Border Gate said: The purpose of using entry and exit cards is to maintain and ensure political security, social order and safety; manage the activities of people and vehicles crossing the border and border gates during activities at Nam Can border market and prevent and combat violations of the law related to illegal entry and exit activities.
It is expected that the use of entry cards for Vietnamese citizens to go to border markets will be applied from January 7, 2024.
