President Ho Chi Minh's testament is a national treasure for nation building.

On the morning of May 16, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held an online conference on the topic "Historical significance and eternal value of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; outstanding results after 50 years of implementing his Testament".

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the conference. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong - senior lecturer, Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party leaders, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics spoke on the topic: "Historical significance and eternal value of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; outstanding results after 50 years of implementing his Testament".

Before the delegates, Associate Professor Bui Dinh Phong raised three major issues drawn from the study of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

First of all, it must be affirmed that the Testament is a priceless historical document, crystallizing the thoughts, ethics, soul, personality, intelligence, mettle, emotions, and responsibilities of a person, of a leader, a great man who devoted his whole life to the country and the people; a whole life devoted to the revolutionary cause of our nation and the people of the world.

Second, the Testament shows President Ho Chi Minh's spirit, optimism, and confidence, not only at the time he wrote the Testament, but more importantly, for the country's development after the victory of the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Third, in the most general, comprehensive and conclusive way, President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is a national treasure to build our country more decent and beautiful after the victory of the resistance war against America.

“The Will is understood as a document that carries the vitality of innovation, fighting against old and corrupt things, to create new and better things,” Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong commented: “The Will talks about the past and present at that time, but the entire Will is oriented towards the future.”

According to the Associate Professor, the issue of looking towards the future in President Ho Chi Minh's Testament has two major contents, first of all is to care for and constantly improve the people's lives both materially and spiritually; and for the nation and country is to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, contributing worthily to the world revolutionary cause.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong analyzed the viewpoints on Party building and rectification mentioned in His Testament, whose ultimate goal is to wholeheartedly serve the people.

Regarding the assessment of 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Dinh Phong said that there needs to be a synchronic and diachronic approach. “There must be a scientific, revolutionary, courageous perspective, daring to take responsibility, daring to look straight at the truth,” he said.
