While driving a friend in the motorbike lane on Highway 1A to watch a race, a 19-year-old man was shot and died.
By the early morning of June 4, Ho Chi Minh City Police in coordination with relevant agencies had completed the autopsy procedure to investigate the cause of death of Tran Van Kiet (19 years old, from Quang Nam, temporarily residing in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) on the evening of June 3.

Currently, Mr. Kiet's body has been brought back to Quang Nam by his family for funeral arrangements.
According to Mr. Tuan (Kiet's father), on the afternoon of June 3, he heard that Kiet was shot in the head on National Highway 1, through An Thoi Dong Ward, District 12, so he immediately went to the scene.
According to Mr. Tuan, at around 2:00 p.m. on June 3, Kiet drove a motorbike with license plate 59V - 8.2218 carrying a friend named Nam on National Highway 1 in the motorbike lane from Thu Duc District to An Suong intersection.
At that time, in the car lane, there was a group of young men organizing a "storm", racing parallel to Mr. Kiet's car. Suddenly, 2 people on an Exciter motorbike overtook and opened fire on the "storm" convoy.
These two strangers fired several shots, one of which unexpectedly hit Mr. Kiet in the head, causing him to fall onto the road. The convoy of vehicles “storming” fled in all directions.
Mr. Kiet was taken to a nearby medical station for emergency treatment, then transferred directly to Military Hospital 175, but he died.

According to Mr. Tuan, the family cooperated with the police to examine the scene and discovered a bullet stuck in Kiet's skull.
The case is currently under further investigation by the police.
