Stage 5 of the "Non song lien mot doi" Television Cup cycling race in Nghe An
On the morning of April 8 in Vinh City (Nghe An Province), the Organizing Committee of the 37th National Cycling Race for the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup in 2025 with the theme "The Country and Rivers Connected in One Strip" HTV - Ton Dong A held the award ceremony for stage 5 (Thanh Hoa City - Vinh City).

Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of the Organizing Committee.

Prizebicycle racingThe 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup in 2025 is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1. This is a prestigious sporting event, attracting the participation of many leading racers across the country. The race through Nghe An province also contributes to promoting the image of Nghe An to domestic and international friends.

This year’s race has 105 athletes from 15 cycling clubs across the country and foreign athletes participating. With 25 stages with a total length of 3,059 km, the race starts in Tuyen Quang and ends at Thong Nhat Hall (Ho Chi Minh City) at noon on April 30.
Nghe An province is the finishing point of the 5th stage, with a distance of 139 km starting from Thanh Hoa city and finishing in Vinh city.

On the morning of April 8, athletes entered the 5th stage, starting in Thanh Hoa City and ending at Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City.
With reasonable tactics, effective distribution of strength and impressive acceleration, athlete Nicke Kengozou (Vinh Long Agriculture) excellently finished first, followed by athlete Nguyen Van Binh (Ho Chi Minh City) in second, and athlete Nguyen Tan Hoai (Loc Troi An Giang Group) in third.

At the back, the race also significantly narrowed the gap, sticking close to the remaining riders of the leading group before reaching the finish line. This result helped Loic Desriac (Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap) continue to successfully defend the overall yellow jersey after 5 stages.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded individual and team prizes; and presented commemorative medals to the local Organizing Committee of Nghe An province.

Tomorrow morning (April 9), stage 6, the cyclists will enter the race: Team time trial at Cua Lo beach, distance 24 km. Route: Binh Minh Square, Binh Minh road, Hoang Ta Thon intersection, Cua Hoi roundabout and return to the finish line at Binh Minh Square.


Stage 7 (April 10, 2025): From Vinh City to Ha Tinh - Quang Binh, distance 197.5 km. Starting from Ho Chi Minh Square, passing Truong Thi - An Duong Vuong intersection, turn left at the roundabout onto Le Duan Street, Nguyen Du Street, Ben Thuy 1 Bridge and go to Ha Tinh./.
