List of V.League 2021 coaches

5 new teachers

First,V.League 2021welcome 5 new coaches, namely Alexandre Polking (Brazilian - German nationality, Ho Chi Minh City Club), Kiatisak (Thailand, HAGL), Petrovic (Serbia, Thanh Hoa) and Phan Thanh Hung (B.Binh Duong), Hoang Tho (Than QN). In which, coach Phan Thanh Hung only changed from Quang Ninh to Binh Duong, while Alexandre Polking is the only one who comes to Vietnam to work for the first time.

Experience in understanding Vietnamese football is still the factor that clubs put first, simply because the competition regulations are only 13 rounds, there is no time for coaches to get used to it. That said, it is clear that Ho Chi Minh City will face many difficulties even though coach Alexandre Polking used to work in Thailand.

This year's season has 11/14 coaches from the 7X generation. Those are 3 coaches of the same generation, including Chu Dinh Nghiem (Hanoi), Le Huynh Duc (SHB.Da Nang), Ngo Quang Truong - all born in 1972, all quite famous when they were players. Coaches Chu Dinh Nghiem (Hanoi), Le Huynh Duc (SHB.Da Nang) have won the championship when they were in charge.

In addition, there are also teachers Pham Anh Tuan (Hai Phong, born in 1970); Nguyen Van Sy (Nam Dinh, born in 1971); Kiatisak (HAGL, born in 1973); Truong Viet Hoang (Viettel, born in 1975); Nguyen Duc Thang (Binh Dinh), Pham Minh Duc (Hong Linh Ha Tinh), Polking (HCMC) - all born in 1976 and Hoang Tho (Than QN, born in 1977, first time coaching in V.League).

Of course, Kiatisak is the most anticipated name after 8 years of absence from the Vietnamese football field. If Thai Zico is successful at HAGL, it will indirectly make the Vietnamese National Team much stronger. This makes Thai football officials worried because Vietnam is currently usurping the number 1 position of this golden temple country in Southeast Asia.

Nguyen Duc Thang (Binh Dinh) and Pham Minh Duc (Hong Linh Ha Tinh) are both given full authority over the team's expertise. These are coaches with personality, more or less confirmed in their expertise, and are all rivals to conquer the goal of top 6 of V.League 2020.

For the first time leading the team to compete in V.League, in the context of not having much time to prepare, lacking in numbers, coach Hoang Tho of Quang Ninh really encountered difficulties. Mr. Tho only became known when Chairman Pham Thanh Hung appointed him as the leader when coach Dinh Cao Nghia asked to withdraw from the head coach position in the 2015 season. Whether coach Hoang Tho can accompany the team to the end of the season or not is still an open issue, depending largely on the results of the team in the mining land.

3 veteran coaches

The remaining 3 coaches, the oldest is Petrovic (Thanh Hoa, 74 years old) and 2 6X coaches: Phan Thanh Hung (61 years old), Vu Tien Thanh (58 years old). Each coach has a different football philosophy, different goals for the season, in which, coach Vu Tien Thanh with the trend of "Japanizing" Saigon FC is considered to have the most risk.

Meanwhile, Petrovic and Phan Thanh Hung are having a season as a stepping stone for their strategy of rebuilding the system for Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong for their long-term goals. As long as Thanh Hoa and Binh Duong play with consistency, it will be considered a success, if they can get into the top 6, it will be an acceptable result.

For Coach Quang Truong, after a rather poor season, this year the burden will be on the shoulders of this Nghe An coach. With SLNA rejuvenating its players and foreign players of average quality, Ngo Quang Truong is facing many challenges.
