Bright spot in education in Dien Chau homeland

(Baonghean) - On the morning of November 15, Dien Chau 2 High School solemnly held the 50th Anniversary Ceremony; the Anniversary Ceremony of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).

Attending and sharing joy with teachers and students of Dien Chau 2 High School were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee delegation; comrade Le Thi Huong Sen - Office of the President of the Education and Training Trade Union.

On the side of Dien Chau district, there were comrades: Tran Van Cuong - Secretary of Dien Chau district, Chairman of Dien Chau district People's Council; Pham Xuan Sanh - Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee; leaders of district-level departments and offices and other schools in the district; along with all staff, teachers and students of the school; and former students of all periods.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Education and Training, District Party Committee and People's Committee of Dien Chau district attended and congratulated teachers and students of Dien Chau 2 High School.

Dien Chau 2 High School was established in 1965, on the basis of separation from Dien Chau 1 High School (now Nguyen Xuan On High School). Over the past 50 years, the school has contributed to improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and nurturing talents for students in Central and Northern Dien Chau and some communes of Yen Thanh district; contributing to the process of building and developing the homeland.

With the attention and support of authorities at all levels, the tireless efforts of the Board of Directors, staff, teachers and all students, by the 2014-2015 school year, Dien Chau 2 High School had developed, fully meeting the general education tasks of a provincial unit.

Mr. Hoang Manh Nhan - Principal of the school reviewed the 50-year tradition of building and growing the school.

More than 1,500 students of Dien Chau 2 High School attended the ceremony.

From 1965 to present, the school has had 18,813 graduates, nearly 7,525 students passing the university entrance exam, many former students have held important positions in the Party and State, becoming famous activists in the fields of politics, military, economics, culture - society, many people have academic titles and degrees: Professor, Associate Professor, Doctor of Science, Senior General, leading scientists, excellent teachers, excellent doctors; highly prestigious managers...

From 2000 to now, on average, each year, there are 200 - 400 students passing the university and college entrance exams, accounting for 45 - 60% of the total number of students graduating. In the 2003 - 2004 school year, the school had Pham Thi Chung passing the university entrance exam for group A with an absolute score of 30/30 points. Notably, in the 2007 - 2008 school year, the number of students passing the university and college entrance exams reached nearly 40%... ranking 4th in the province and 172nd nationwide.

Speaking at Dien Chau 2 High School, comrade Dinh Viet Hong, on behalf of the provincial leaders, commended and recognized the achievements that generations of teachers and students of the school have achieved and assessed those achievements as a bright spot in education in his homeland Dien Chau.

Through this, the comrade also suggested that the school should focus on implementing well a number of specific tasks such as: Continuing to effectively implement the campaigns "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", each teacher is a moral example, self-study and creativity, building a friendly school, active students and movements, campaigns, major policies of the province and the industry; continuing to innovate educational management, information technology in management, innovating teaching, taking more care of the quality of comprehensive education...

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Board of Directors of Dien Chau 2 High School.

On this occasion, Dien Chau 2 High School was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in education and training from the 2010-2011 school year to the 2014-2015 school year, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the country; a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to teacher Trinh Thi Thu Huong for her outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good teaching - good learning" in the 2014-2015 school year; a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for her outstanding achievements in education and training from 2013-2014 to 2014-2015.

Mr. Hoang Manh Nhan was happy to meet his old teacher when he was a student at Dien Chau 2 High School.
