Permanent Deputy Minister of Health works with Nghe An Health sector

On the afternoon of October 1, comrade Vu Manh Ha - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health had a working session with the Nghe An health sector to grasp the situation of medical work implementation; response and overcoming the consequences of storm No.

Attending the working session on behalf of Nghe An Health sector were comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Health; leaders of the Department of Health, provincial health units and Vinh City General Hospital.

Nghe An health care has synchronous development.

At the meeting, representatives of the Nghe An Department of Health gave an overview of the province's health system and a summary report on the damage and recovery work caused by storm No. 10 at medical facilities.

Accordingly, at this time, Nghe An's health sector is developing synchronously. In which, the non-public health system ranks 3rd in the country. Nghe An's health sector is rearranging health facilities in a streamlined, people-friendly and people-oriented direction.

Nghe An Health Sector is setting out 3 key development directions, which are: Focusing on investing in healthcare for disadvantaged areas to improve disease prevention and remote disease prevention; promoting the development of specialized healthcare, building Nghe An into a healthcare center in the North Central region; promoting the application of information technology to build a smart healthcare system.

Along with that, Nghe An Health sector continues to promote the development of specialized hospitals, including geriatrics and the combination of traditional medicine with modern medicine.

During the recent storm No. 10, Nghe An Health sector suffered damage to many facilities, machinery and equipment. According to statistics, 38/49 units under the Department, 110 health stations in 13 health centers reported damage. Total estimated damage was 35.2 billion VND.

The Department of Health has been directing medical units to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 10; at the same time, performing well the professional tasks of medical examination and treatment, disease prevention, ensuring environmental hygiene and water and food safety.

Focus on developing grassroots health human resources

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha commended and highly appreciated the efforts of Nghe An Health sector in developing the health network from the province to the grassroots level; investing in developing many advanced, high-tech and specialized medical techniques; applying information technology in medical examination and treatment and doing a good job in disease prevention and control.

The Permanent Deputy Minister of Health shared the difficulties that the Nghe An health sector encountered in implementing health work, especially the serious damage caused by natural disasters and storms and floods.

Agreeing with the development directions of Nghe An's health sector, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Vu Manh Ha suggested: Nghe An's health sector continues to closely follow the orientations of the Central and the province, effectively implementing important resolutions, especially Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 282/NQ-CP and Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress.

Nghe An Health Sector cannot be satisfied with the achievements it has made but needs to continue to develop specialized specialties, develop new techniques, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, improve the medical ethics of medical staff, and improve patient satisfaction.

The industry also needs to continue promoting digital transformation, applying artificial intelligence in medical examination, treatment and disease prevention, towards building a smart healthcare system; having a roadmap and plan for developing grassroots healthcare, paying special attention to developing grassroots healthcare human resources.

The Permanent Deputy Minister of Health expressed his belief that the Nghe An health sector will continue to achieve more important achievements, successfully implement the set goals, and be worthy of being the medical center of the North Central region./.
