President Biden's weaknesses could put his 'deputy' Harris at a disadvantage
Experts say President Joe Biden's weaknesses on the economy and immigration issues could put Vice President Harris at a disadvantage in the election.

According to RIA Novosti on November 3, Dmitry Suslov - Deputy Director of the Center for European and International Studies, Russian Higher School of Economics, said that the weaknesses of President Joe Biden's administration in economic, immigration, and foreign policy issues could put Vice President Kamala Harris at a disadvantage in the election race.
"Illegal immigration into the US under the Biden administration has become unprecedented. This is, of course, Biden's main weakness, and one of the most important topics in former President Donald Trump's campaign. It is worth noting that Vice President Kamala Harris has admitted that immigration policy is a weakness of hers," said Suslov.
Expert Suslov also said that Ms. Harris is trying to "blur" the current situation, but the Republican Party continuously points out the Vice President's involvement in the immigration disaster in the US.
According to Mr. Suslov, Ms. Harris also faces challenges from economic issues under incumbent President Joe Biden, including peak inflation in the US.
This expert believes that the current administration's policies will become an obstacle to Vice President Harris's chances of winning in the increasingly approaching election.
"All policies in all areas from minority rights, allowing the use of soft drugs... First, the standard of living of the American people has declined, and as a result, many cities in this country have seen chaos, increased crime, drug addiction, high unemployment..." - expert Suslov explained, noting that this has not only made Republicans but also independent voters move away from the Democratic Party.
In addition, the foreign policy of the Joe Biden administration will be a problem for Vice President Harris in terms of voter support. Expert Suslov pointed out the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the dissatisfaction of most Democrats with the White House's overzealous attitude towards Israel regarding the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
"And finally, the majority of Americans still favor a negotiated solution to the conflict in Ukraine, rather than an endless prolongation of the war. Meanwhile, the current policy of the Biden administration is to continue to prolong the military conflict," said expert Suslov.
According to the New York Times, in the final weeks of the presidential campaign, Mr. Biden was kept at a distance by his “deputy” Kamala Harris, who was concerned that the president’s weaknesses would hinder the race.
The 2024 US presidential election will officially take place on November 5.
