At 6:45 a.m. on June 17, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province informed: The PCR test result of case F1 in Dien Thinh commune of patient 11634 was positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

This new patient had a history of close contact with Patient 11634 on June 14 when eating together. Immediately after Patient 11634 was discovered, this patient proactively declared and was quarantined at the Dien Thinh commune health station, and had samples taken for PCR testing.

Early morning of June 17, the patient was tested. The results of two rapid tests showed that the sample was positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
