Dien Chau develops synchronous tourism products, promoting the 'smokeless industry'

With the advantage of a 25 km long coastline and a rich history and culture, Dien Chau district is a land blessed by nature with many beautiful landscapes, favorable terrain and unique cultural features. In recent years, Dien Chau has enjoyed many advantages in terms of traffic infrastructure when there are 4 key national traffic axes running through it, including: National Highway 1A; North-South Expressway (under construction); North-South Railway; National coastal road. Therefore, Dien Chau has become an important link in the national tourism map system.

Up to now, Dien Chau has invested in building 3 beautiful beaches into tourist areas including: Cua Hien beach, Dien Thanh beach and Hon Cau Dien Hai. Accordingly, the district has attracted investment in 14 hotels, 52 motels with more than 500 restaurants, traffic infrastructure, electricity system, sports complex to serve the entertainment and relaxation needs of tourists.

Along with sea tourism, Dien Chau also effectively promotes the potential of eco-tourism in the lake, dam, river and mountain areas with the highlight of Muong Thanh Dien Lam eco-tourism area invested on an area of ​​350 hectares, with a total cost of more than 3,000 billion VND and many items such as: wildlife zoo, hotel, luxury villas, mineral mud bath area, water park, golf course.

With a rich cultural history, Dien Chau also pays special attention to exploiting the potential of spiritual cultural tourism, typically the Co Am pagoda in Dien Minh commune, with its ancient architecture beautifully decorated, combined with green hills and mountains, has attracted a large number of visitors.

Promote the development of night tourism alongside other strong tourism types

At a recent conference on tourism development in the North Central region held in Dien Chau district, experts predicted that in 2022, Vietnam's tourism industry could welcome up to 65 million domestic tourists and more than 5 million international visitors. Total revenue from tourists is expected to reach VND400,000 billion.

Director General of the General Department of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh also highly appreciated the results that Nghe An tourism has achieved in recent times, along with the proactive and close direction of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. In the context of the complicated developments of the epidemic, Nghe An has proactively innovated and created new tourism products to meet the diverse needs of tourists and in line with the requirements of current tourism development orientation. The Director General said that one of the things that needs to be done in the local tourism development policy is to diversify products, innovate products, upgrade services... to best meet the tastes of tourists.

In the process of rapid urbanization of Dien Chau district, a new type of tourism is also being interested in and promoted to attract investment by the district, which is urban tourism with night tourism products.

The People's Committee of Dien Chau district is currently promoting coordination with an urban development unit in the district to pilot this type of tourism.
