Kremlin reveals lunch menu for Putin and Xi Jinping

According to Russian President Dmitry Peskov's press secretary, the lunch of the two Russian and Chinese leaders will include a cultural program and Mr. Tap's favorite ice cream.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping's lunch today (March 21) will be accompanied by a cultural program, and ice cream, the Chinese politician's favorite, will also be available, Mr. Peskov said in an interview with 1TV channel.

“Traditionally, of course, typical dishes of Russian cuisine are on the menu, along with a cultural program. We will announce it later,” Mr. Peskov said.

Asked by reporters if ice cream would be served, Mr Peskov replied: “I think it will definitely be available, because President Xi Jinping loves it very much.”

Specifically, the menu includes appetizers made from Far Eastern products, pancakes with quail and mushrooms, sturgeon soup with cakes, pomegranate juice, fish with vegetables or venison with cherry sauce and dessert “Pavlova”.

According to the Kremlin, during the meeting with the Chinese leader, President Putin said that Beijing had made a huge breakthrough in the development of relations between the two countries.

The Russian leader said Moscow had carefully studied Beijing's plan to resolve the Ukraine crisis.
