Nghe An Electricity conducts disaster prevention drills

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 26, in Cua Lo Town, Nghe An Electricity Company organized a drill on natural disaster prevention and search and rescue in 2016.

Attending and participating in the drill were leaders of specialized departments of Nghe An Electricity Company; electricity units of Cua Lo Town, Vinh City, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc.

According to the drill scenario, the 171E15-16 power line managed by Cua Lo Town Electricity through Nghi Xuan and Phuc Tho communes (Nghi Loc) has been in operation for many years, and the regular management and operation work has not been well implemented, so there are many defects such as: unsafe contact joints, cracked and chipped porcelain, surface electrical insulation, and tall trees in the corridor that are at risk of falling onto the power line.

To ensure safe, continuous and stable power supply during the 2016 storm season, it is necessary to replace old, poor quality porcelain with composite porcelain, clean the porcelain, re-tie the porcelain neck wire, treat the contact, remake the porcelain tie wire, install covers and cut down trees to clear the corridor.

The forces participating in the exercise quickly took safety measures, mobilized vehicles and materials, and arranged forces to focus on resolving the situation. After 8 hours of construction, the work was completed quickly, safely, promptly overcoming incidents, promptly restoring power to serve the people.

The experiences gained from this exercise will contribute to perfecting the disaster prevention and search and rescue plans at the units to be suitable and close to reality so that the disaster prevention, response and mitigation work of Nghe An Power Company can be highly effective.
