Despite many hardships, the actor did not feel pressured when playing the role.

To Dung did not encounter any difficulty or pressure in his new role: “When you have been looking forward to something for a long time and it comes true, the pressure will be a small part compared to the excitement, and so do I. With Dien, I took material from the workers around me, observing them every day to see many personalities, voices... so it was not difficult to get into character.”

Playing the role of a porter, he often had to pull carts and carry loads under the hot sun, but he confided: "I am not afraid of hardship or suffering. If everyone can do it, I can do it too. It is a meaningful job. I transform into a laborer, talking about the hardships and difficulties to honor them."

The actor was particularly impressed with the filming set. The first time he stepped in, he felt it was a real boarding house, shabby and polluted. When filming on a hot sunny day or a rainy day, it was extremely uncomfortable. “When I entered there, I suddenly realized that I was happier than many people.”

Sad to be compared with Thanh Son

To Dung was born in 1991 and is currently an actor at the Hanoi Drama Theater. He plays many good roles in movies, but in real life he is secretive about his personal life and rarely shares on social networks.

He expressed that he is not an introvert, he just doesn't share or publicize his personal life much, so people feel that way. "If you meet me, you will see that I am funny, sociable and even "annoying", To Dung expressed and wanted the audience to acknowledge and love me through my roles, asking for permission to keep my private life private.

Often playing unfortunate roles, when asked if he was afraid of being "lucky" in his career, To Dung said he never thought about it. "I'm not afraid of that, actors having work to do is happiness."

Having been in the profession for many years, without a “lifetime” main role while his friends have had certain successes, To Dung feels a bit sad. But for him, each person has their own destiny and path, as long as they do well and make an effort, they will achieve the desired results.

“Maybe I haven’t succeeded yet, but no one can predict what will happen in the future. Currently, the producer sees Dung as suitable for small, supporting and secondary roles. For each role, I research and create a difference to bring to the audience; accept what I have, happily do my best and believe I will be rewarded,” the actor expressed.

To Dung is not afraid of people comparing him to his close friend - actor Thanh Son. He is happy because his friend has had many successes in his career.

“I even feel happy for Son when he is successful. When people compare the two of us, it is not true that I don’t feel hurt, but only a little,” To Dung honestly said.
