Suspension of work of the Director of the Execution Office of Phong Dien district

On October 11, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency (CEA) of Can Tho City announced that it had temporarily suspended Mr. Chau Tung Chinh, head of the Phong Dien District Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency, to clarify the loss of more than VND2 billion at this agency.

Previously (October 10), Mr. Chinh went to the People's Procuracy of Can Tho City to present issues surrounding the loss of money at the Phong Dien THADS Sub-Department. Here, Mr. Chinh himself declared the loss of about 2.3 billion VND.

The representative of the Procuracy made a record, recorded the statement, and asked Mr. Chinh to commit to the information he had declared.

According to the City People's Procuracy, this is only information self-declared by the parties. Once recorded, the procuracy will transfer it to the Supreme People's Procuracy for handling according to its authority.

Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre, the Can Tho City Department of Natural Resources and Environment issued a press release stating that through the inspection of financial management at the Phong Dien District Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Can Tho City Department of Natural Resources and Environment discovered that while performing his assigned duties, Mr. Chinh had caused a loss of more than 2 billion VND.

Immediately after discovering the violation, the Can Tho City Department of Natural Resources and Environment reported to the General Department of Natural Resources and Environment and, as directed, the Department sent an official dispatch to the Supreme People's Procuracy's Investigation Agency requesting an investigation and clarification of the above-mentioned violation for strict handling according to the law.
