(Baonghean.vn) - On April 15, Do Luong district held a seminar to celebrate the 55th anniversary of its founding (April 19, 1963 - April 19, 2018).

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the construction and development journey of the district over the past half century.
In particular, after more than 30 years of implementing the Party's renovation, Do Luong has achieved many great achievements in all economic and social fields. The infrastructure system from the district to the grassroots has developed strongly. The average income per capita of the district in 2017 reached nearly 40 million VND/person/year. The total production value in 2017 was 14,197.37 billion VND. The fields of culture, society, health, and education have changed positively and clearly.
To date, the district has 12 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards. At the same time, the district is focusing on directing the construction of towns that meet urban civilization standards.

The investment attraction picture of the district really creates a highlight, contributing to promoting socio-economic development; with some outstanding projects: Foreign-invested garment factory in Lac Son Industrial Cluster, Song Lam Cement Factory in Bai Son commune.

The Resolution of the 20th District Party Congress set the goal: To build Do Luong into a district with comprehensive socio-economic development. To achieve that goal, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has identified key tasks: To promote administrative reform, improve the quality and efficiency of the staff, civil servants and public employees; To promote economic restructuring associated with vocational training; To continue to promote investment attraction. To build a strong Party and political system, to create a bloc of national solidarity, to join hands to build an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.
