Poured gasoline and burned his lover because of emotional frustration

On the afternoon of June 21, Colonel Quach Van Dung, Head of the Criminal Police Department (PC45 - Da Nang Police) announced that he had initiated a case and arrested Huynh Duc Ngoc (30 years old) for murder.

According to the investigation, Ngoc had been in a relationship with Ms. Ngát (31 years old, residing in Thanh Khe district) for more than 5 years. Recently, the two broke up due to many conflicts.

On the afternoon of June 19, Ngoc invited her boyfriend to visit her grandmother’s house. There, he threatened Ms. Ngát with a knife but was stopped by her mother and grandmother.

The two then returned to their rented room and Ngoc closed the door, used a knife to control Ngát, and poured half a liter of gasoline on Ngát. When he saw his lover on fire and his hand on fire, he quickly put it out.

Ngoc took his lover to Da Nang General Hospital for emergency treatment. He went to Military Hospital 17 for treatment and was arrested there. "Ngoc said the reason was not jealousy, but because of emotional frustration," said Colonel Dung./.
