As a poor district under the Government's 30a program, Que Phong has 4 border communes bordering Laos. Implementing Directive 14 of the Prime Minister, functional agencies in the district such as the police, military, border guards, etc. have strengthened coordination to mobilize people to raise awareness, denounce, and detect crimes and social evils. Thanks to that, in the first 9 months of the year, the area has discovered and arrested 53 cases, 63 subjects of illegal drug trafficking, and rescued many cases of cross-border trafficking of women and children.
